I have some Izumi Pearl shorts that I usually ride with, so I will be comparing these shorts to those. The X-Tiger shorts chamois does not extend as far forward as the Izumi Pearl shorts. I don't get chafing with either shorts, but definitely something I noted. The chamois also feels more like foam instead of like a bouncy gel. Because of this, the chamois feels more low-profile but it also does not offer as much cushioning. The bottom of the shorts both have rubberized texturing to prevent the shorts from riding up your thigh. The texture on the X-Tiger is more aggressive feeling, but I never had issues of my other shorts riding up my thigh. The overall material on the X-Tiger feels less breathable. I definitely feel more heat trapped in. Because the material feels thicker, it has less air flow and also is not as stretchy. Maybe it's more durable, but it definitely has some downsides. There is a small zippered pocket on the back of the X-Tiger shorts. It is not super practical, since it can only fit things around the size of your palm. These shorts offer a lot of functionality at the price it is offered. I definitely prefer my Izumi Pearl shorts over these, but if I had to choose based on price point, it is X-Tiger any day. Not that much is sacrificed going with the X-Tiger, but you spend a lot less money.

I ordered size medium which is the size I normally wear and they fit excellent. They are comfortable and the padding does make a difference in how sore your perineum feels after a 4 hour mountain bike ride. With regular shorts it goes from quite sore to only mildly sore with these shorts. The padding does compress after a while and they will need to replaced, I have been using them for about a month and the padding is definitely flatter and doesn't work as well compared to new.

These are excellent bike shorts for both indoor and long-distance outdoor rides. The gel padding is strategically placed and not too bulky, making for a comfortable riding experience. These shorts are just as comfortable as some of my more expensive brand-name shorts for half the price, and the quality is matched. The material has just the right amount of stretch and does not cut into my waist or legs during longer rides, and the sizing is spot on; for reference, a medium fits well for 5'10" /150 lbs. The pockets are an added bonus, and I can comfortably fit my ID and billfold. They have held up very well in the wash, and I have not noticed any shrinking. I highly recommend these if you are looking for quality biking shorts at a great price point.

I haven't had time to get out on my bike and put these to a real test yet but my initial review is that I like the color scheme and the fit and feel is really nice. These are very similar to some pairs of Sponeed that I have and can compare to. The pad/cushion feels about the same and that makes me think it should prevent decent comfort on saddle. I based my size more against the height/weight chart and based on that I came up with the XXL which seems to fit just right for me. I'm 5'10 and around 185 and this seems to fit exactly as I would want it to. It is tight in the leg without being too tight and feels like it will easily move with me while pumping on the pedals. In terms of cost this seems to be a little bit less expensive than the Sponeed shorts I had previously been using so if these hold up ok during the initial break in period then I could definitely see myself returning for more pairs.

What can one say about bike shorts that haven’t already been said? Well, in the case of the X-Tiger shorts perhaps it’s the claim of 5D bike padding. That’s a lot of dimensions! Perhaps it refers to what appears to be five layers in the padding. Could be. Probably is. And the padding does feel a bit thicker than other shorts I have. And having taken several rides using the X-Tiger shorts I can say that they are comfortable where it counts. Sizing is also important. It’s practically a given that sizing is off, too small, in many products, but, in this case, I normally wear medium and the X-Tiger shorts fit perfectly. And, while based on feel, the gripper bands just above the knees do not seem very grippy, the legs, in my experience, do not ride up at all. And there are pockets! Yay! So, spot on fit, pads provide what to me has been excellent comfort, legs stay where they should, and pockets. What’s not to like? I am happy to recommend the X-Tiger bike shorts.

The gel padding in these shorts makes them great for long distance rides. I've been wearing them on gravel bike rides which includes lots of roots and rocks on single-track trails and I can definitely attest to the comfort and durability of these shorts. You get two side pockets which can easily hold my phone and other small things, and a rear zippered pocket for other things. These are a great value and fit perfectly. I am about 6' 2" tall and weigh approximately 215 lbs so I ordered the 3x size. I was worried that I went a little too big, but once I tried them on, I realized that the sizing chart is about right. These shorts offer performance and value. The appearance is very good. All of the seams are very well done, and as I mentioned earlier, the comfort is excellent. I definitely recommend these.
