Description

The Jayhawk is a 20′ two-man ladder stand featuring our revolutionary Safety System. Hunt at ease knowing that your stand is safe and secure before you leave the ground. Comfort-fleX mesh seat flips up and out of the way for full use of the platform. Padded armrest for added comfort and a footrest that flips back. Adjustable padded shooting rail can flip back or be removed. Stealth Silencers – self-lubricating nylon washers for no metal on metal contact, along with X-Force expanded metal for added strength, durability, traction and silencing. The Jayhawk also uses our HeliX oval tubing giving this stand extreme strength and sturdiness. Powder coated with our Weather Defender to protect against the elements and help eliminate sound. Comes standard with two complimentary drink holders and two accessory hooks.

After about a year of reading reviews here and other places this stand by far did the best on reviews and i am sooooo glad i got this stand after putting it together by myself in my front yard, this thing is built like a tank.. and just one pre drilled hole was off by just a smidge .. the finish is awesome the fit is on the money all the hardware was in the box like it should have been... i have zero bad things to say about this stand..i'll have no worries about bringing my 12 year old up with me.. if this thing falls the tree is going with it !! very pleased over all.. ... show more

    • It's meant to last
It's a bit difficult to set up. Pro the material will last a long time. Super sturdy doesn't move once strapped down. It's definitely not that comfortable to sit in for more then an hour find a cushion somewhere. Another con is try not to move at all bc either the seat will squeak or the bar in front of you will. It's a nice set up though hard to say if it's worth the money compared to cheaper metal stands ... show more

Nice and sturdy. Good safety features. Better than most. Only thing is it is really HEAVY! It will take a couple of us to carry it into the woods in sections to put it up.

    • Great stand. Could be fantastic stand with some attention to details and or extras...
Once stand is assembled and in place works great... put together and placed in woods in two hours or so. Like others have stated...box arrived in pieces. Large areas of stand had powder coating rubbed off during shipping... usps not changing their practices so x-stand should change their packaging. Instructions called for seat rail but like others mine did not have one. Not sure if it needs it as works without it. Having a blind attachment would be a nice option..... Biggest issue is the bolts- all were and sixteenth to eighth inch short. Was able to get stand together but some nuts were only a few threads tight. Putting stand up was difficult due to weight. Used winch on side by side and friend to get in place. Once up with adjustments made stand is solid. Seats are comfortable but wish they were independent so I could sit in one and fold one up for gear. That said sitting on either side with footrest out very comfortable... stand will be all day hunter where other stands I am shifting all day due to getting stiff. Looking forward to many hours hunting in this stand. ... show more

Great directions for the most part, Assembly was pretty much trouble free. Mine didn't come with advertised accessory hooks or cups holders, but that was remedied by seller, so happy now. For putting it up on the tree....3 men minimum, unless special equipment is used. We tried 2 adults and a 12 year old and couldn't do it. Used ATV winch and truck and it went up well. You will have to reposition the stand once upright because the bottom of the ladder must be moved away from the tree a bit. Ratchet straps that come with it are bare minimum. A perfectionist will want to replace them after the first season with something better. Location of the upper most strap is not clear in the instructions, but I guessed correctly. Mfr had a picture on the website that shows location for that. Shooting rail is adjustable and should be useful, just do not lift or pull by that or it might get messed up. Seats are pretty comfortable, unless you want to sit in the center. There are two separate seats, so middle sitting is a no go comfort wise. It feels very stable, with a slight but of movement, but nothing to worry even the most timid user. I have nit hunted from it yet, bht I expect I will shoot many deer from this stand. ... show more

    • Excellent stand, but shipping and packaging could cause problems.
My review basically mirrors what most everyone else has already said: This is a fantastic and well built stand. The only complaint I have is how it's packaged. It's not ideal for shipping and should probably be shipped in two different boxes that are made of thicker cardboard. Because it's so heavy duty, the packaging needs really to be addressed. When I received it the box it was beat up really bad due to it's size and weight. Parts were sticking out of holes in it and I was concerned that parts were missing- and there was one missing(a seat bracket that should have been in bag or box not just laying in the box). Not a huge deal as I was able to fabricated another and I will contact X-stand to try to get another to replace later. As far as design goes: This is second to none. This stand has four rachet straps to secure it and this thing isn't going anywhere. The tree will fall before this does. Assembly will takes some time. Not counting the fabricated piece, it probably took me a little over and hour to assemble by myself. There are quite a few washers and bolts that need to be sorted. The pictures didn't exactly match all the bolts but it was ok. Some of this picture are really fine detailed so take some time and lay it all out. Finally, invite some friends to help stand it up. My father and I were able to do it...but just barely. Like the instructions say you really need at least 3 people, but it can be done with 2 if you're strong/brave enough. ... show more

    • feels very sturdy, nice finish
I'm amazed I wasn't missing parts. the box looked like hammered dog doo when it got to my door. it had been saran wrapped at UPS and it was clear the entire box dumped out at one point. Reason for 4 stars is because the washers are garbage. they are too soft, and one size fits all so a 1/4 head bolt pulls through them before there is even enough tension on them. Thes harness are what you expect for free harnesses. they will work fine for my boys that will hunt with me maybe a handful of times. you'll need a carabiner for each harness, since they are not included The frame itself seem pretty good and relatively quiet for now. it is pretty heavy, I can usually deal lifting a regular 2 man ladder up with my wife's help but this one took some mechanical advantage to get hung ( no room to walk it up like the instructions suggest). Lots of scratches from ups but nothing was too tweaked. I gave it a rattle can cam job before hanging, too many red washers and white logos for my liking. nothing a little drab green cant fix. Comfy seat, but expensive... ... show more
