First off I would like to say that these are super easy to setup and link together on your phone. Secondly, my wife and I had a vacation planned and we knew we would have trouble getting signal there. I saw these on here and thought that would be a great investment so that I could monitor the alarms from anywhere so I could ensure that the family and animals were safe. I installed the smoke detectors the day before we left and I had my 18+ kids that did not live in the house add the app to their phone so they could monitor it as well in case we lost signal. It was about halfway through the vacation and we managed to get a slight signal and we received an alert that the alarms were activated. I messaged the kids and asked them to run to the house to see what the issue was. I could see on the camera that there was smoke inside the house as well. Come to find out there was an outlet that decided that it wanted to melt down and if we wouldn’t have had these alarms, we would have lost our house and our pets due to a fire. Luckily my son-in-law found the issue and turned off the power to that outlet. Needless to say, I went around and replaced the outlets in the house so we shouldn’t have to worry about that again. These are perfect for both your home and if you own rental properties. I have them installed at 4 of my properties. Super simple to install. Drill hole for anchor, place anchor, attach the cover with the screw and you are done. The smart features are great because I can monitor them from my phone at any time. I get alerts if there are problems. I typically have guests and/or renters at my properties, so even it will alert them and me, as well as, if the property is vacant.

Let me start off by saying, I am a terrible cook and tend to burn things often. I put 4 of these inside my home and another in the garage. I forgot I hade bacon in the air fryer and got sidetracked. No fire but started smoking. The kitchen alarm went off, then the rest followed. Very loud! It alerted to my phone and I was able to silence the alarm quickly! I would say the quality and performance are worth the money spent. Battery life is still to be determined. I’ve had them installed for a few months. They were simple to connect to my WiFi and the base. The base also tells you the location of the alarm. I have everything set up on my iPhone and the compatibility is flawless. 100% worth it so far!

I was trying to justify pulling wires to interconnect hardwired Smoke detectors. While I have done lots of wiring to this house, I wasn't sure my old body could handle it. The X-Sense ProConnected kit seemed like a reasonable alternative. Getting the app installed, all the smoke detectors connected to the hub and devices mounted, was very simple and straightforward. Even this old body had the job done in under an hour. The real problem came when we decided, since it was so easy, we would add a few more. You can't go by the looks of the device, or the ability to link devices. You MUST be very careful selecting a specific model. I ordered what looked to be the correct device and spent a painful hour trying many ways of pairing the newly purchased items. An email to support got me straightened out but it does expose the absolute confusion around the array of products. A missing item is a remote button that can be mounted and easily accessed for turning off the alarm for those smoky kitchen experiments. There are no troubleshooting guides or installation help at the Xsense website. AND NO PDF version of the manual. The manual is a 2 x 2 inch square printed manual with VERY TINY print. Very hard to read. I OCR'ed the manual but no way to post it for others to use. This is a security device and MUST have better documentation. The manual is in English english which is great but it needs to be available online.

We were able to hook up everything easily and the app works well with our iPhones. We had no issues installing the detectors. We have noticed only one person can be in the app or it knocks the other off.

The media could not be loaded. Some reviews mentioned the smoke didn't trig the alarm. I still want to give it a try, because I really want a smoke detector that can link to the phone. This is the brand new smoke detector. If you press the test button, it will make a sound to show it works. But when you light up papers and trace the smoke with the alarm, the alarm didn't go off. I intentionally trace the smoke with the alarm, the flame almost touches the detector. From the start of the flame to the end of the flame, the alarm didn't make a sound. My hand was full of smoke smell after this video. This is scary if you depend on it to save your life in fire. This product should not be sold. It doesn't save lives, it costs lives. Buyer should be aware!
