I'm a professional, and I've been using these things all over the place. They're cheap. They're versatile. They're uncomplicated. The cost point is substantially lower than most of their competition. You can afford to install four of these where you would be able to install a single . When it comes down to it, you'd rather have more cameras and to be able to replace those cameras more easily. A camera needs to both monitor the general happenings of an area _and_ identify the cause of those happenings. I happily encourage my clients to sacrifice a cheap camera because its last upload to the cloud was a crisp image of the person messing with it. These are flexible in their application. The option for onboard storage means you don't need the cloud, if you don't want it. The option for RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) means these things can be connected to a security recorder not even affiliated with Wyze. The default mount can be torn off with a single Phillips #2 screw, and replaced with a of . You can improvise your own mount based on a 1/4" bolt with 20 threads per inch. Their simplicity is a strength. The default options allow for mounting of a camera without even penetrating a wall. Looking through footage from one or even a selected subset of your cameras is relatively painless, even over days. Setting these up is easy enough to be done from the top of a ladder. With the appropriate , you can use a light socket instead of an outlet. Whether someone's trying to keep an eye on their elderly parents (watching for falls and the like), perimeter security for a house or even a commercial facility, the Wyze Cam v3 is a solid buy.

I live in a condo on a second floor and the Board kept saying they would get security cameras but never did. Meanwhile, during the night, someone came into our very well lit parking lot and cut out my catalytic converter!!! Just mine (apparently Honda Elements are targets..who knew?) Anyway, I was so upset. It cost me almost $2000 to get it fixed. So I decided if the board won't get cameras...I WILL. So I bought this and it has been the BEST THING EVER! I just prop it in my window (which has a screen that cannot be removed) and it's perfect. I can have it right up against the screen and still see everything or close the window and it will still be fine through the window AND screen! I have it aimed at the parking lot. I can see the entire condo complex with this thing! Amazing! I can see everything at night! Every time there is motion, it saves a 12 second blip and I can go back and look at them or be notified of them when it happens! I haven't tried the siren feature yet. All I know is that I finally feel safe after my ordeal of being ripped off. The picture is great. People have noticed it because it has a red or blue light. Which is a good deterrent from crooks as well. Best purchase in a long time. Should have done it sooner!

It appears I have a landlord that likes to enter tennant apartments/duplex. My neighbor showed me pictures on her phone of the landlord and workers, (that were painting the outside) enter her place which she had not yet moved out of. I asked what she used to get these and she showed me the Wyze v2. So I jumped on line and search out her camera. I came across the v3. I did more digging to see what the difference were and the first was size. I was able to use the magnetic mount and mount it to my fish tank rack. It looks like from a distant something for my tank. It is just over 25 feet from the camera to the front door. I watch a few YT videos and it out performs the v2 and it have color night vision. I have not test this out yet, but is a dimly lit room you can see in color and clearly. You have a free trial of the CAM Plus which I think is a great addition as it will actually catch a person and classify it as such and sent a text to your phone. So winner on size, hideable and clear video and the ability to zoom in on the playback mode. I also added the memory card as a back up to the Cam Plus. Also it plugs in and you can buy a longer cord if needed and no worry about batteries dying For a piece of mind and cost for me this was a no brainer. It works well and helps reduce my stress. Should they entered now I have enough proof and sound to take them to court. Check it out if you need a piece of mind and it will help and not break the bank.
