    • Excellent dock for the Square reader. Only for the Square that charges through USB-C end.
I have 3 Square readers. One has a mini-USB charging port. The other two have USB-C ports for charging. This one only fits and charges the Square reader with the USB-C end. There is a tab on the end that lifts out pretty easily. You slide in your Square reader, and then slid the plastic tab back into place. It drops right in and clamps lightly on the end of the Square, holding it in place. It works well. The dock will charge the reader once it gets low. I charged the dock when I got it, but didn't need to. It was fully charged. Still, I left it on for an hour. Then I plugged in two of the Square readers that I used two weeks ago at a craft show for 2 10-hour days and didn't charge since. It charged one to full, without it being used, in a few hours. (I'll admit, I was wandering around, forgetting to do laundry, and playing Skyrim, so I was not paying close attention to it.) Once it was charged, I charged the second Square as well. This dock still has power for some more charging, which is great. We rarely need to charge at shows, but it's good to have this option available. Also, this is an angled, upraised stand for my Square. We have a cash register drawer and use a cantilever swivel stand for an iPad locked to the top as our POS system. We were just taping the square to the top front of the register, but people kept missing where it was. Having this stand makes the reader, dare I say, stand out?? It does. The reader is obviously in view now and obviously the POS for cards. It looks awesome. And the price is a steal. A name brand dock costs way more, so my cheapskate little heart is laughing all the way to the bank with this inexpensive off-brand option that works really well so far. Really excited to use it at next month's craft show and really put it through its paces. Depending on performance, I'll be picking up another. ... show more

It is nice. It is a weighted stand. It keep the unit charged by keeping it hooked to the unit. It snaps in nice keep it tight. It looks good. I like it.
