This was supposed to take 30 minutes, but took me the better part of 2 days! At first it seems flimsy, but once I got it together, it felt more firm. I ended up having to take portions of it apart a couple times. There were virtually no instructions on how to install the "drawer", which is not actually a drawer, but just a door that you can close. The instructions were very difficult to follow so I just had to wing it. The shelves are supposed to hold up to 66 pounds, but I would be reluctant to add that much weight. In short, it was pretty much what I expected.

I got this minimalist bookshelf to store my many pairs of shoes. The bookshelf was very easy to put together. There are a lot of parts, but all of the parts were there, including the BEST key-shaped tool, much better than the little L-shaped wrench you usually get. This one had a handle that made it SO much easier to turn, which made assembly FASTER. The bookshelf a bit shorter than I expected, so I just put another shelf underneath to give it some height --- problem solved. I love the minimal look and it matches the decor of my room perfectly.

I now have two shelves that I placed side by side for books, pictures, perfumes, and other trinkets. It really worked out well and fits perfectly in the space. I bought the shelf to give my daughter a display area in her room and it looks beautiful. It came package beautifully with all of the parts that were needed. It was really easy to put together, and I was surprised with how lightweight but sturdy it was. My daughter loves it, and there is enough space in between the shelves to display her teddy bears, and any artwork that she brings from school. But it’s not too big that it overwhelms the small room. In other words, it’s perfect!

Pros: - I wanted to order cheaper bookshelves that weren't bulky for our apartment, and these certainly fit the bill - The shelves are tall and deep enough for what I needed - They hold the weight that I need (i.e., was able to load up a shelf with books, as shown in the attached picture, and it has held for the past 4+ months, no issue) Cons: - I've done a lot of self-assembly with furniture the past few months, and this was one of the more difficult ones. Hand screwing takes FOREVER, so after the first 1-2 screws I installed by hand, I switched to a drill. However, if you aren't careful, using a drill will easily split the wood. There are one or two spots where a crack started to form while drilling, and that hasn't happened to me with other pieces of furniture I've assembled in the past. - Building off of the "con" above, the vertical wood frames (i.e., what the shelves are screwed into) are not very thick and feel like cheaper material. - One or two of the shelves had minor scratches on them when received. Not a big deal since the shelves are fully covered with the books/games/etc. I have on them, but worth noting.
