I needed a one-stop, casual kind of bowl for my family's daily use when we opt to eat away from the formality of the dining room table. My requirements were that I'd find something that could handle both hot and cold foods and the microwave, and that they would not shatter if accidentally dropped. These 65 oz. bowls by Wrova met those requirements. They are large, sturdy, and functional. We have used them for both hot and cold foods, and they handle both well. They are comfortable in your hands, even with hot foods, and the muted colors have a bit of speckling, lending themselves to look more natural. I was surprised that they actually have a strong earthy scent of wheat straw, even after washing many times over. The scent doesn't seem to leach into your foods, but it's quite noticeable. If your nose is sensitive, these bowls might not be for you. A small additional mention: One of the bowls had a bit of a manufacturing pattern on about an inch or so of the rim. The other bowls were fine. Also, when we've eaten foods with grease or oils in them, like meatloaf, it's been a challenge to wash the residue out of them with a kitchen sponge. However, they wash just fine with a paper towel. We have not tried putting them into a dishwasher, as we're currently washing all dishes by hand. Overall, I would recommend Wrova's 65oz Wheat Straw Bowls to others who want an easy bowl that will work with many different foods, and are safe for handling by all ages.     • GREAT THOUGHT AND ENGINEERING WENT INTO THE MAKING OF THESE WHEAT BOWLS

I love these bowls. I love everything about them. How they’re made; how light they are; how they look. They’re super stylish. And entirely biodegradable. It’ll take 3-6 months for these bowls to turn to compost in your home compost, and only 1-2 months in a local municipal compost facility. This is a modern alternative I could really get behind. Great thought and engineering went into the making of these wheat products. 
 But they’re too big to eat from, unless your salad is your entire meal. If you had a bowl of granola and fruit from these bowls (as shown on the Amazon site), you’d be the Jolly Green Giant. The bowls fit 65oz! But they’re great as serving bowls. I could even see using them at the table as a bread basket. I could use them as a fruit bowl on my kitchen counter. I suppose if I were serving a super-hearty-rib-sticking stew, I could use these bowls. But that the bowls are too big doesn’t matter, because I love them so much. I’ll find a way to use them. If you're old enough to remember Melmac Dinnerware, and would like to find some now, you'll need to shop on eBay, or consider these as a modern-day replication, but made from natural material instead of melamine. Designed to be highly functional "dishes," i.e., unbreakable, easily to clean, dishwasher / microwave proof, great for eating popcorn in front of the tube, or a garden salad on the patio, etc. They are large (see pic for comparison to 500 ml water bottle), good for meal-in-a-bowl recipes, hot or cold. These are actually bigger than I expected. I was thinking they were small cereal bowls but they are pretty darned big and could be used for mixing or for ramen. They are microwave and dishwasher safe.

I really like these bowls and think they’re a great alternative to plastic or resin bowls. They are large, but they’re not humongous. I think they can easily fit on most tables, even small ones. I haven’t really used lots of wheat plastic products before, but after using these bowls, I would be happy to use more products in the future. A quick note, while these are relatively indestructible within reason, I think if given enough force or pressure, a child could possibly stomp on or try to sit on these bowls, thus destroying them. Other than that, they’re fancy looking and safe to use around the family because they’re stated to be free of bad chemicals and because they’re not going to break a toe or foot if dropped. I may have to lock these up because my daughter will want to steal them. They are light but well made from a quality material. The pattern and flecks of color in the bowls are subtle and attractive.
