I normally wear a 33 waist, ordered and they were huge. I returned and got a 32 and they were huge. I returned but they were out of stock on a 31 so I ordered a 30. I have been ordering these shorts for years. They hold up for a very long time and are super comfortable. I hate pants that have small pockets and feel tight, and these fit me perfect. Sometimes the belt loops start to form holes. I think I've had two pairs over the years that have done that. Maybe a pair that got a hole in the back pocket at one point. I bought these for casual use, walking around town in the Summer weather. I was looking for something that was affordable but not going to fall apart the first time I wore them. I like the stretch waist style, I feel like they are more comfortable, but probably less durable. The cargo pockets are useful, but they close with Velcro which I find becomes more useless after every wash.
