I purchased this shorter version of the braided/twisted wig because I have a long one and I like how it looks. However, this one is quite different. I don’t know if it’s because it doesn’t have as much length or weight or what, but it doesn’t “sit” right. It doesn’t hang properly, and has a very obvious fake and unappealing “wig-like” appearance. If I put it on and hold the edges downward with my fingertips momentarily, it looks nice. But the moment I release, it resumes looking awful. I am really perplexed because this is supposed to be the same exact wig as the other one, only shorter. And the other one is very nice looking and fits well. The only thing I can fathom is that something went wrong and I guess this one is defective. However, given that it costs almost the same as the long one (only a $10 price difference), that’s no consolation. I basically wasted my money, and had to purchase a second longer wig right away to use because there’s no way I could use this one. So not only did I pay for something I could not use at all, I also had to spend even more money to get a replacement because I’d discarded my original long braided wig (which had no issues) when I received the short one. I wish I’d tried it on before doing so! I have alopecia, so I don’t have a great deal of choices regarding my hair. As such, I feel as if I have been taken advantage of. I received this unit within a matter of 2 days and I was pretty surprised; but in a good way might I add. Pros: 1. The fast shipping 2. I noticed upon purchase, there was a promotional discount which dropped the price a good amount. I am not sure how long it will last so I would recommend purchasing one now. 3. The wig looked very nice on, just like the picture. 4. I really liked how the braids were actually small. There are other braided lace fronts out there that state the braids are small, or are “microbraids” however, they are far from it and the braids are not uniform like they are on this unit. 5. There is a band in the rear of the unit to secure it to your head which is a plus. Cons: 1. Underneath the unit, I noticed an attempt to sew in combs, or should I say “a comb” however, it was haphazardly sewn in and is on is on its last thread; there is not a comb on the other side. 2. Yes, there is a distinct smell to the wig and it does feel like it does have product in it. However, if you have ever had your hair braided, it is similar to what a braided would use (so they are not braiding dry hair, to keep it moisturized and to keep down the “fly always.” It can be washed. 3. I thought there would be a little more lace to the wig, so if one wanted to secure it with a hardening gel or tape (I don’t use tape), they would have that option to make it look more natural around the sides. The only lace is where the part is located, that is all. So you would need to ensure your sides are covered with the braids. So if you are willing to overlook the disadvantages, this unit is a good option if you are looking for a microbraid option. Overall, I am totally satisfied. UPDATE 1. The unit has a LOT of product in it and I do concur with a previous review, I am on my second washing because the water from the first washing was brown. However, I still love the wig. ... show more

I bought this wig because last year I watched my hair fall out piece by piece because of alopeaca. I’ve always wanted braids but my head couldn’t handled them. Enter this wig. I loved the way it looked. Until I put it on and realized you couldn’t tie it back without the lace and the cap showing!! I have to tie my hair back for work so this was an automatic deal breaker. Then I relived last year and watched the braids fall out!! Not very well thought out, made, or of good quality. It looks good down though which is the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars. If your self conscious about others knowing if you have a wig on, I’d stay away from this one and save your money. I unfortunately can’t return it because I’ve worn it so I’ll just wear it down on the days I don’t have to work. ... show more

I was really excited to order thei wig, but was extremely disappointed . Cons 1. Wig looks like a mop. 2. The ends of the hair is very straight and unnatural looking. 3. I have a small head , the wig was very very tight on my head. The construction of the wig is horrible. 4. if I could I would return this wig, but I cut the elastic band . Don't waste your money .
