This product is for my son who is 21 and is on the Autistic spectrum. His previous keyboard was very old and worn but he was attached to it so I had concerns that he would not latch on to this one. After looking at about 50 products varying in cost and style he repeatedly pointed out this one. He got it today and he loves it! I'm so happy for him and the best part was that he used the microphone to sing Twinkle twinkle little stars for me which was a great bonus as he is for the most part non-verbal. The media could not be loaded. I purchased this as a gift for one of my students, but will return it. This is NOT a suitable instrument for any music education. the keys often don't play the right notes, and the whole thing is almost a half step out of tune (sharp). The piano goes haywire when you play simple triadic harmonies, like in this video where we play a C major chord and it sounds what I'm guessing is a C7b9b13... I'm really amazed at how awful this product is, and shame on the manufacturer/marketers for tagging it as educational. Do your kids a favor and find a real instrument. ... show more

Purchased this product for the simple fact that it states it has a built in lithium ion battery and looked to be more durable than ones I have purchased in the past, so i figured it was worth the extra money. Needless to say, my special needs son has no birthday present to play with on Thanksgiving and I'm a very unhappy parent. It's the same cheap product as the under $30 keyboards, only with 61 keys. So now I get to box it up and wait until Sunday for the cheaper version he broke last Christmas. This is not rechargeable and comes with a tray for 6 AA batteries. You can't play chords at all. When you do it chirps back at you. It may be fine for a little kid who just wants to tap on it. But definitely NO GOOD for practicing piano lessons. Side note: I accidentally ordered two. When the first one we opened sounded horrible we opened the second one and it did the same thing. So I don't think it's a fluke. ... show more

Bought this to introduce musical concepts to my young one who’s showing an interest in playing. The tone quality is terrible and migraine triggering (I mean this literally). It’s cheaply made. The standard C chord is in a minor key. If you add a 4th note to a chord, it screams. Do not buy if you want your child to learn early musical concepts. Update: NOT HAPPY. WISH I COULD GET A REFUND. I thought this was a decent beginner keyboard, until I eventually compared the sounds it makes to digital keyboards and a piano and found out it is OFF TUNE. They keys do not correspond to their correct sounds. They’re 1 key off. This makes it absolutely useless for learning to really play piano and turns it into a toy (and one that will confuse kids if they actually try to memorize which keys make which sounds). They could teach themselves to play a song on this toy and then be unable to play it on any other keyboard or piano because the notes are off. Don’t buy this. Just don’t. A confusing toy isn’t worth $60. Old review: Ok keyboard for beginners. I like that it has a lot of keys and plays chords. Decent sound too. But it has power issues. While playing, it would have random glitches and turn off/on on its own sometimes. Also it doesn’t remember what volume setting you put it on so it’s quite loud every time it glitches or you turn it on (or your kids turn it on lol). Overall, okay. Do not recommend. Maybe I was expecting too much for the price, but this item is not as described. Keys are NOT full size. They are very small, too small for most adults or bigger kids to use effectively. If you play more than 3 notes at a time (e.g. a 4-note chord), it does not play the correct notes for all and you get some discordant noise. Questions section says there is a 3.5mm headphone jack - not on the 61key model we got Tone is poor and jarring. Several different instrument sounds are programmed, none of them are pleasant. ... show more

Shame on me for not reading the reviews more carefully. I bought two of these for toddlers who are learning piano and needed something to practice on at home. The photo in the Amazon listing shows a man playing a full-sized keyboard. The 3-year old and 4-year old we gave these to have hands almost too large for the tiny keys. The sound is subpar with the piano setting not sounding like a piano at all; in fact, the string setting sounds just about like the piano setting. Had I opened these boxes to check the product before wrapping and gift giving, I would have sent back for credit. They are not worth the price paid and are useless as a teaching tool for children taking professional lessons. ... show more
