Nice bolt cutter for my needs. I'm glad I chose to buy longer handles than I had originally thought necessary. My only dissatisfaction is that I paid for a new bolt cutter and received... well, this may be unfair, but I feel I was sold a garage sale item, which was delivered in a beat up box barely holding the item inside. In fact, I even have the previous owner's receipt. But, it's a tool and it gets the job done very well.

High end bolt cutters are ridiculously expensive. I didn’t need a commercial level bolt cutters. All I needed was one for home to replace my 25 year old one that recently broke. I am very impressed with the quality at this price point! It’s probably the best 30” bolt cutter for the money.

I believed these bolt cutters would make it easy to cut wire shelves to the needed sizes. I was wrong. The cutters open wide, which is great, and the handles are well-padded and textured to provide a good grip, but that's where the positives end for me. The blades don't seem very sharp, so it requires significant force to cut, and the result is rough enough to require sanding to minimize sharp edges. Did they cut? Yes, with the help of a firm surface and all my weight applied. For thinner wire, these may work great. For standard wire shelving, go bigger or with a different brand.
