I bought this for handouts given by my professors but it can obviously be used any time one needs to put holes into a sheet of paper that otherwise doesn't have them. It's small enough to easily fit in a standard 3-ring notebook and does precisely what it was designed for. I've seen some negative reviews, which should be ignored. This item is meant for personal use and is intended to be easy to carry/store. It is NOT meant to be purchased for a classroom or office where dozens of people are hole-punching stacks of paper on a regular basis. I suspect that people negatively reviewing this product needed a punch with a much larger capacity but were too cheap to buy what they needed. This product will punch 2 or 3 sheets of paper and the chads (yes, that is the actual term for the debris) fall into a convenient tray underneath so as to not make a mess. TL;DR this punch is just fine when used for its intended purpose and I have no complaints after using it many times. ... show more

Can only punch through 3 or 4 pages at once. And it's hard so u have to hit it fairly hard to make it cut through the paper.

This will only fit in the front of the binder, so I removed it entirely and hung it up on the wall. I like it, it does the job, but it cannot handle more than 7 or so sheets of paper.

I know you think this will solve all your binder problems and be easy to use lol but think about this first. I had a 6" stack of recipe papers to hole punch to go into a binder. I thought to myself, this little item is ecomical and handy for future papers that I want to save right? okay..well. NO..just no. Do yourself a favor, get a real hole punch if you have a big job to do. The strength needed in your hands to work this is just ridiculous. It's a great concept but no more than 5 sheets of paper can fit in it at one time. I spent 30 minutes trying to pound my way through and that didn't work..I had to spread the project into 2 days. And while it's not worth sending it back now I thought I would save you some time. GET A REAL HOLE PUNCH..not this. Even for the kids, its not worth it. ... show more
