I bought three sets of this stationery paper to go with other products that I am gathering for a gift set for my daughters and granddaughter. I really like how smooth the paper is, and (I am struggling for the correct term) the paper’s "tooth" is excellent, as it lets the ink provide enough lubrication to keep the track smooth and my handwriting looking nice, without any bleed-through. The color choices were perfect for me when I wrote my own notes to those girls. The clarity of the color, the paper quality, and how it felt in my hand.     • Vintage Floral: Lovely writing paper

As others have mentioned, the paper is a little thin and there is no "sticky" on the envelopes. Still, I do like this set - great for thank-you, appreciation, birthday, anniversary and/or get-well sentiments. The stickers that look like sealing wax are fun and vintage. I'm okay with no sticky on the envelopes - the sticker closes it if you are hand-delivering or if it is tucked into a package. I did purchase a very pretty Vintage Washi Tape Set to tape the envelopes closed for when they go in the mail. I'm also okay that the paper is a little thin - not too thin. It actually adds to the ethereal aspect of the paper and vintage look. (I do suggest writing only on one side of the paper, even though it is patterned on both sides.) The envelopes are thicker, so I'm not worried they will be damaged in the mail. As others have noted, the background color on some of the patterns is a little dark. Not too dark to write on. I chose the darkest green and used a black gel pen to write an appreciation note. It looks beautiful! The envelopes are interesting in that two of the patterns look better upside down! And several are very busy where the address should be written. If I mail one of those, I will use a dark pen - or else a label. Overall, I do like this set and will use it. I really appreciate the vintage floral designs. It occurs to me that they can also be used for decoupage or other decorating uses; scrapbooking and so on. I would consider gifting this item - though if I were to purchase as a gift, I would re-package into a decorative box or tie with a ribbon, as the feel of the plastic bag is not very appealing. What a beautiful set of stationary! Good weight and lovely printing. My father is 98 years old and when he receives a letter from me on this paper it takes him back and opens up a whole new dialogue of stories I had never heard. Will certainly purchase again.

The paper is double sided and is wide rule spaced! So plenty of room to write especially if you have bubble like handwriting like myself. Each page is different the envelopes are different and the stickers are to close your envelope. I also bought scotch tape to put some on the sides as well just because I don’t feel like the stickers is large enough to secure the envelope. Will be purchasing again! The designs on the paper are very pretty. But they are too dark for ink to show up when you write across the design. So some of what you write will be barely legible. Also, there is no adhesive on the envelopes. The only means of sealing the envelope is the sticker. This is not very secure for sending in the mail. ... show more
