Durable, colorful and sounds great. I actually tried to pull the metal bars out of the holding pegs to see how well it would hold up with a toddler and it held up great. Extra bonus is the xylophone is actually tuned A=440hz which is exceptional for low-end "toy" instruments. Mallet holder is well placed and convenient. Wooden assembly is sanded and sealed.
