This is a beautiful box and well worth the money; some people complained that the bottom was difficult to open, true, but do you want ashes dropping out? Oh, the box is for me and I will be happy to know that I am in such a well made and beautiful box.

Received this item today. Upon opening the package, the overall finish looked pretty good (pictured). Upon further inspection, there were multiple scratches of the front (pictured). There was a large chip in the actual wood on the end (pictured). One corner is discolored and separating (pictured). The screw that secures the sliding door into place was drilled and then filled, the extra hole was left in the sliding door and a new hole drilled next to it (pictured). There is glue that was squeezed out when assembling the sliding door (pictured). I will be returning the item and would not recommend purchasing. ... show more

Not super thick but was accepted by a mortuary for ashes as being durable enough for transport. It actually doesn’t look too bad and is a steal compared to prices of Urns from the cremation businesses.

Very nice urn box especially for the price. Box was damaged during shipping. I would have expected it to be be packaged better for it being a sentimental item. I don’t think anyone wants to wait for a replacement box to place their loved one while they are already grieving.
