This review is for the RORKEE wooden step stool in the Dark Walnut (brown) finish. Pros: this stool certainly feels very solid, the solid wood part is very thick and feels heavy, and so do the metal legs. I appreciate the grippy rubber bottoms on the legs to keep them from sliding! Assembly was easy. I would trust this stool to hold the 350 lbs advertised. Cons: I think the glossy finish on the top of the stool could be quite slick for someone in socks, especially a kid. Despite its potential for slipperiness, the finish on the top of the stool is nice…HOWEVER, the finish on the beveled edges and the sides is not ideal. It’s very gritty at points and looks like it was painted before it had been sanded down or something. I gave this 4/5 stars because it mostly serves its purpose well, but given how simple the design is its a shame that the sides weren’t more thoughtfully designed/stained. There’s not much going on here, so I think it’s reasonable to expect it all to look more polished than what I received. ... show more

Wife loves it to get up in our classic 4 post high bed, sturdy and nice size. Finish is fine for the purpose and solved the problem quickly. Assembly with the included hex wrench took less then five minutes.
