The sconces are extremely light duty but are really cute. The shelves are only attached to the back plate by 2 small screws so I wouldn't put anything on them with much weight. The underside of each shelf was unfinished fiberboard (tan) whereas all other surfaces were black. There are 2 hangers on the back of each sconce. All but one of the hangers were fine. The odd one was positioned slightly higher that the other on one sconce. Since these were perfect for my intended space, I painted the bottoms of the shelves black & took the extra time to accommodate the oddly positioned hanger to ensure it is level on wall. I paid $35 for these. For that price I don't expect to have to do additional DIY to make them work. Again, they are cute & perfect for my space but that should not mean I should have deal with poor craftmanship. Buyer beware.

The media could not be loaded. I had an issue with where to place them because, all the spots they could go.I placed my own flameless candles and it's really nice at night.
