My husband and I are preparing to potty train our toddler (who will be two in a couple months) and this is a great stool for both reaching the toilet and reaching the vanity sink. Right now we are using it for him to wash his hands in the sink and this is the right height for him to reach the running water. My husband who is the "builder" in our household was very impressed with its sturdiness and design. He said it was very simple to put together also. I have had this now for a few days and we are very impressed with the quality craftsmanship. I bought this for my toddler to help encourage independence with brushing her teeth and washing her hands after using the potty. She can now reach the sink by herself- not the faucet handles to turn the water on or off though. I’m always with her so I turn the water on and off. This would be the only negative that it’s just a little too short for her to be able to turn the water on and off. It’s very sturdy and made of real wood. She is only 15 months old, so she doesn’t know how to get down from it right now, but gets up the steps herself just fine. She also helped me put the screws in- BIG PLUS for having a very easy assembly that both mom and child can do together. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We've just inherited a used cat who is quite chonky. It took quite a few treats, but we have trained her to use these steps so she is free to push her wet snout in our sleeping faces at all hours of the night. 5/5.
