With the summer heat in full swing on the farm, I thought I'd switch up my usual attire for something a bit breezier, landing on the Women's High Roller Shortall Denim Romper. It promised a casual yet functional style, complete with pockets, which always come in handy around here. First impressions? It's definitely cute and has a charm about it that's hard to deny. The denim's weight and color strike the right balance—not too heavy for summer days and in a shade that feels just right. It looked like a nice change of pace from my regular farm gear. However, wearing it around the farm brought a couple of issues to light. The stitched cuffs on the shorts, meant to keep them rolled up, ended up being more of a nuisance than a feature. They made the shorts feel restrictive, especially when moving around, bending, or sitting. And despite going a size up, trying to play it safe, it still fit snugger than I'd hoped around the hips and thighs, not quite the comfortable, loose fit I was aiming for. While the idea of adding a denim romper to my summer farm wardrobe seemed great in theory, in practice, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. It's got its positives—like the look and the denim quality—but the fit issues, particularly with the stitched cuffs and snugness, meant it wasn't as practical for farm life as I'd hoped.

This romper is definitely casual and has a loose fitting style. The fabric is pretty light weight making it something suitable for summer. This however wasn't a style for me. I'm 5'3" and 100# the XS was huge on me and the length of the shorts was off, like super long on my shorter frame. This might be great for taller people but it's not made (imho) for shorter or petite people. Because I can't wear it I'm not able to comment on how it will 'wear' over time. but my impression is that it's not a piece that will hold up for more than one season most. Not that unusual for affordable cloths but this isn't really cheap either. It's pretty lightweight and doesn't seem super well put together but that's just an impression.

The first thing I noticed when I opened this was how heavy it was. It's definitely not see through lol. It feels like it was made out of a drop cloth. The fabric doesn't lay nicely either. It just feels bulky and unflattering. I'm personally not a fan of that material for overalls but if you're looking for something thick for fall then this would probably work. I ordered this in a size XS because it looked oversized. I was hoping that it would fit my daughter but it was huge. I tried it on myself and it was way too big for me also. I'm 5'5 and 125 lbs for reference. So definitely size way down on this one. I ended up donating this item which is a huge bummer because that picture looks so cute!

I wanted these shortalls for awhile now. took the leap & they did not disappoint. They are a good length on my 6 ft tall body! I love the adjustable straps, super comfortable standing & sitting. Not as thick as a pair of denim pants but still a great thickness!

Very cute adjustable denim romper. They are a bit thicker than expected but soft and have a bit of stretch to them. They fit true to size and adjust easily. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so that I am able to wear them out of the house.

I'm surprised that this romper is actual heavy weight denim! I was expecting something cottony that was more the look of denim than actual denim. But this is really nice and looks like it will last forever. It fits just as shown in the listing. I'm happy with the sizing and how long it is in the leg. I think it's going to be a comfortable and versatile summer garment. It should work just as well to see baseball games as it will as a coverup at the pool. Very happy with this!
