I'd give these an 8/10 and recommend them. I'm a huge fan of running shorts that have lining that extends to the thighs and these have that. The pockets are also huge. Whether I'm working out or cutting the grass, my phone is always available. I'd say the fit is pretty dead on for the ranges given. I would think if you're on the smaller side of the range sizing down might work if you prefer a tighter fit. Now for the two things I would like to see improved. Neither are a game changer, but if they were addressed these would likely be the only workout shorts I'd purchase. (1) The zipper on the pockets needs both hands to pull up. It's a bit of a hassle if you're in the middle of an activity and have to stop. I believe the issue has more to do with the invisible zipper used in production than a design flaw. (2) The liner shorts have a slight tendency to ride up during an intense walk or run. I've had previous pairs with a gummy material intended to hold the liner in place. But that's it, the only negatives I have. I've purchased the grey and pink and hope that expand the color options.

These shorts are so comfortable, and I love the inside shorts liner. The zipper pockets are really nice too. I am buying every color for vacation! 5'4" / 180 lbs. I bought XL. (I typically wear a size 12 or 14) They fit great!

I wanted to love these shorts but I don’t! I purchased these for casual, comfy summer wear. The GOOD - material is great, I love the zippered pockets, they are a good length (not too long but also not too short). What I DON’T LIKE - the waist band is narrow & sits too low for my liking, this accentuates my “mom pudge” instead of concealing it. The inner lining is a little too tight & rolls up on thick thighs, just from casual walking/sitting/squatting. For reference, I purchased size Large. I am 5’7” 164lbs & have larger hips/thighs. I think these would be excellent casual shorts for someone with a smaller frame.

These are perfect for running, and I ordered a Medium (I am a size 5). They come up over my belly button, so I would get a different style if you want something lower. The comfort level is perfect, and they stay in place. I recommend buying these for running.

For reference, I am 168 lbs, 5'4 and I purchased size XL. They fit perfectly. I bought these shorts for the purpose to wear to a heavy metal concert. I needed zipper pockets that were secure enough to keep my items in it as I was gonna be shoved around in the mosh pit. These shorts are SO comfy, and the pockets were big enough to hold my glasses case, phone, and cards in them. The zippers were secure so my stuff was safe and I was comfy all night. The lining is great and doesn't ride up. These are 5 star shorts. I bought them for a singular night but I'll definitely be wearing them throughout the warm weather months. If you're thinking of buying these, DO IT.
