Pre-pregnancy, I was generally between top sizes tended to buy things in medium rather than large. Based on reviews and my limited experience with purchasing maternity tops, I purchased this in a size large (Mauve color). This piece arrived quickly, and I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on. I felt that it was perhaps a little wide under the arms (I'm at 24 weeks, now 36D, so maybe this 'extra' room will have value as my breasts continue to grow), but overall this top felt gently form fitting and extremely flattering. (I felt like it elongated the body, while conforming to my figure, but somehow masking a bit of the less desirable curves. Though I am not generally a fan of mock-necks, I even like how the neck looked.) As an added bonus, it has a soft huggable texture. I do worry about it pilling in key areas of friction, but I expect it won't happen quickly because I've worn it two days straight as an outer layer, and it still looks excellent. This light-weight piece has the thickness of a knit-shirt, and though it does seem to be a little warmer than my (few) simple long-sleeved maternity shirts, I still consider this more of a shirt than a sweater. (However, I’ve decided to primarily use it as a sweater / second layer.) The shirt seems tightly woven and did not become transparent as I stretched the belly area to test its' elasticity. The end result was that I went ahead and ordered a second one in the same size, but in solid black. I find it just as lovely and perhaps more flattering due to the color. (I thought it was well worth buying another because I wanted another piece that I could layer, and I see myself continuing to wear these long after my pregnancy.)

Updated Review: I had bought this in the gray, black stripes, and navy stripes. Originally I had only tried on the gray and had loved it so I thought the other two would fit the same. I was sadly mistaken. The gray was a wonder product, and you can see the original review I wrote for that below. The striped shirts were a totally different material and had way less stretch than the gray. I would have had to go up to size medium to have them fit comfortably since they were a little too tight. Anyone in a 3rd trimester probably wouldn't have enough room. Plus, they weren't as soft. Original Review of the gray color: Ok, so I know it's probably weird to buy a maternity top when you're not pregnant, but I like the fit of certain ones. I like fitted in the arms and chest (I'm not super busty) and a little more slack in the stomach area. So that's perfect for a maternity top. Anyway, this exceeded my expectations! It's nice and long (the bigger the stomach, the shorter it will get, but it has so much length that it's got tons of room to grow. It's thin (not cheap thin), but still warm. The material is VERY stretchy. And oh my it is SO SOFT! Pregnant ladies.... You will enjoy those belly rubs even more! I end up bunching the material around the middle to hide any slight rolls I might have, which is perfect for me. And it's seriously flattering. For anyone wondering my size: I'm 5'5", 135 lbs, B cup bust, and generally wear a size small, which is what I got. The arms and chest are all fitted like I like (but so stretchy too!), and there is room in the stomach without it being too baggy. And now I have a great top for if I ever get pregnant!

Very comfortable and still looks good postpartum. I got this to wear to work, office is business casual and it looked really nice. I could dress it up with a blazer if I needed, or pair it with some nice jeans for a more casual look.

I really liked this top but it did pill after washing. It was thicker so you couldn’t see through it and fit as described. There is a little bit of stretch to it as well so it can grow with you.

The material is very nice and soft but much thinner than I thought it would be. The neck line and color are very cute. The size is not. My pre pregnancy size was L, I ordered an XL as this seemed fitted, which it is. It is very tight, not any room to grow. No stretch at all in the belly area. Quite disappointed with it. I may get a fewbwears with a cardigan over it and most likely will be better postpartum.

Very comfortable and a perfect pregnancy shirt that doesn't *look* like a pregnancy shirt. No side ruching so looks good for postpartum too. Definitely recommend. I'm 5'10 with a long torso and long arms and it fit really well.
