I am 5”5”, weight 135 lbs, and for some reason I ordered a small. Since my lower half is somewhat larger than usual (!) I would generally order a medium. When these arrived I unpackaged them and was shocked at the size - they looked like they were made for a doll! But I’m glad I decided to try them on for amusement, because lo and behold: they actually fit reasonably well. There was a lot of compression, which for various reasons is a good thing in my view. The high rise was actually high rise, even with my unusually long torso. And once I had worn them around for a day, when I removed them the size appeared suitable for humans rather than dolls The fabric was pretty soft and thick enough not to be see-through, even with all the compressing going on. I’ve not worn them for yoga or Pilates yet because there is no pocket, and I usually like to have one to store my phone. But they will be great to use as leggings under tunics or long sweaters in cooler weather. I would consider these a happy accident. I would never have intentionally ordered a size small, but I think they will work great with the high rise and compression. ... show more

These leggings fit true to size. Very soft and conforms to your body. Nice around the waist to give that compression look. I just didn’t like the v in the back only because I don’t have a huge but so no accentuating there so it looks like an awkward v.
