I am 5’3” about 175lbs and I wasn’t exactly sure which size to order at first so I went with a 16 and returned for a 14. The first dress I received was noticeably returned and had been worn and had brown splotches in different places on the tulle skirt. The second, smaller dress I purchased was factory sealed and was great.It didn’t have a fishy odor like some of the other reviewers said, but it did have a scent probably from the factory. I bought it well in advance of my wedding and just let air out before steaming it to get any wrinkles out. I noticed when the back of the dress was laced up that there was a dip around the backside near my butt probably because it was larger than my curves were and the lacing wouldn’t lace tighter due to the size purchased. The bust also felt slightly larger than I was but the arm holes aren’t stretchy so I chose the size 14 knowing I typically don’t fit into a 12. The length is just above my ankles and made it easy to walk around in and was comfortable the entire day I wore the dress. The back of the dress has a white fabric piece to cover your back, the pictures I attached don’t have it showing because it was easier to try the dress on and show the lacing, just FYI. ... show more

I can't say enough praise and thanks and bless for having this dress on Amazon not only having this dress on Amazon prime it was a steal. I also had an Amazon Rep on the phone help me pick it out. Thank you, Pamela! Everyone asks "Where dod you get that?" I proudly say."Amazon and I am not kidding." It was the perfect dress it fit like a glove I did get it dry cleaned before the big day and I steamed it at home. Mine was a size 16 US. I also walked into the ocean after my wedding day but I know I can just put another one in my cart if I need to. I am 6 ft tall and weigh a good 350. I know need to work on that. Any way I had this dress customized for my odd shape. I was nervous to order this dress. But my gut said just trying it. The price was good and it had all the criteria I was looking for. So I sucked it up and hit order. First off the dress came earlier than I was expecting. And it was in a small package and my thoughts went right to o no this is going to be a dress for a doll. But I gingerly open that package and I was amazed at how it sprang to life and became a full on wedding dress before my eyes. With shaking hands I loosen the tie in the back and with a deep breath tried it on. My mother laced the back and tied a bow. I turn to face the mirror and I gasp is amazement. The dress fit me perfect. It hide my flaws and emphasized my assesses. I felt on cloud nine. My heart leaped for joy. My fiancé and I decided last minute to have a small dinner with friends and get married on Valentine’s Day this year. We had about 3-4 weeks to work this out. I ordered this dress twice and two others to try out. Initially I liked a different dress better but this one was definitely the speediest in delivery. And definitely go off the measuring. I had to order a dress that was going to fit my bust. I feel like I may have been able to go down a size in my chest but in the end I ordered a 14 I believe. The boning left room on my breasts and I ended up having a friend tighten the shoulders and tuck the back lace so it fit me properly. After a little altering the dress fit perfectly. Still wish I would have sized down by one. It was delivered within two days of ordering it. Returns were easy for the ones that didn’t fit. Definitely use their size chart. Will need ironing and steaming. Dry clean might be preferable if you don’t know a seamstress. If you are looking to save and you know this is a one time wear then totally get one of these dresses. It’s great in pictures and everyone loved the dress. And I loved bragging about the price tag. ... show more

I used this dress for our convalidation into the Catholic church. I had to do a slight alternative to the mesh in the back, but considering it was a dress I ordered online I didn't expect it to fit perfectly! I felt beautiful in it, it felt comfortable on the hot July day.
