My favorite shorts! I bought them to go to an f1 race where we did a TON of walking in the TX heat. These shorts were super comfortable & breathable while also fitting my 5’3” frame well. They didn’t show any sweat stains/marks and didn’t ride up while walking or running.

Medium fits me well- both at my usual 5'11," 165lb size and my (long story, illness related) current weight of 152lbs. I grabbed up these shorts for a cooler alternative to my 5" bicycle shorts for running. I love bike shorts, but by virtue of the 5" inseam and tightness, they can be quite hot to run in in 80+ degree weather. I have several pairs of regular dolphin-hem running shorts, but I a) hate the liners and b) hate that they don't have a pocket for my phone. I like the length of these and they are soft and comfortable with no weird seams. The inner liner could be made of a bit stronger, stretchier fabric- I was hoping for the sturdy 4-way stretch fabric you find in workout leggings and normal bicycle shorts, just in a much shorter inseam, but instead it's significantly lighter and and looser. The phone pocket is a bit shallow, too- it holds my Samsung Galaxy s9+ with only a little bit of the phone sticking out, but the combination of light-weight fabric and slightly shallow pocket combine to make a pocket that couldn't handle holding my phone during a run. It works for a walk, but at higher speed the phone bounces in the pocket, which is both irritating and makes me feel like my phone is going to bounce right out. In fairness, the liner does fit and does work for modesty- I can happily sprawl on the grass or whatever with no stress about my underwear showing. Overall, I do like the shorts and will wear them for walks or just hanging out around the house (might work well for folks who want a cute lightweight short to wear over a swimsuit, too), but they won't be slotting into my running routine on hot days, which is what I bought them for. Seeing as they don't meet the higher technical requirements for workout gear, I wouldn't pay $27 dollars for them again. Would call them a good deal at about $15. ... show more

I Love these shorts I was really looking for a cute short. I’m starting my gym journey and I really don’t like the spandex type shorts that a lot of girls are wearing to the gym. I will definitely be wearing these a lot this summer. For reference I am 5’3 around 140 and I have a 29” waist I chose to go with the medium and they fit perfectly. 10/10. First off, I’m a 3.5in shorts girly. I work out in short shorts. Outer layer is 3.5in in the front, longer in the back. Tights extend past the shorts, but do ride up, my cheeks did not fall out! Tights have low-medium compression. TRUE to size. I’m 5’7” 158lbs. No drawstring to tighten at the waist. Very comfortable. Tights do ride up, but I’m used to it and it was not irritating at all. I use MEGA BABE chafing deodorant…thank me later ladies! Oh yea…I bought 8 colors!!! I compare these to my Lululemon Speed 3.5 High Waist. I love these more. ... show more

    • Phone isn't going to stay put..it's really not

I bought 2 pair of these at different times (not realizing I had already tried them out). They are comfortable and as far as every day active wear I like them. But I specifically bought them based on reviews that your phone would stay put and not fly out during exercise, specifically running. The inner shorts are not true compression and they stretch out with wear. Attempting to run at an easy pace (i have been running for many years) of 8 or 9 min a mile my phone falls out. And at faster paces of 6 to 7 min per mile, or shorter faster intervals the phone also of course does not stay put. So im not sure how these people are doing head stands and inverted push ups and running without that happening. ... show more

I had been on the hunt for running shorts that I could carry my phone in similar to my running leggings. The pocket is large enough to securely hold my Pixel 9. I initially ordered size M, as that's what Amazon recommended and my usual size. (for reference, I'm 5'4" and 122 lbs) However, those felt a tad loose, especially the inner layer on my thighs. But nothing was riding up or falling down during my run, which was great. I then ordered a size S and that feels a bit better on the initial try on, although I haven't run with them yet. Note that the inner shorts are not a compression short. Even the smaller size still isn't very snug and I have pretty decent size thighs. If you have skinny legs, these might not work for you if you're looking for something form fitting. I suspect they will probably loosen more over time and I'm not sure how they'll hold up long term. I got these on sale, I'm not sure the quality is there to justify paying full price but if they go on sale again, I'll probably pick up a few more colors. ... show more
