I’ve had this bag in the cognac color for 2 months now. It has held up so far extremely well, and I do use it as my everyday purse, so it takes quite the beating. The “vegan leather” (I’m not sure if that’s actually anything more than just faux leather, lol) is surprisingly beautiful and soft. Initially the bag had an odor but it very quickly wore off. I love that it can be worn as either a shoulder bag or as a backpack, and I use it both ways. The nylon straps are very sturdy and durable. I appreciate that the main compartment is only accessible from the back of the bag for security reasons. This does make it sometimes a bit inconvenient for quick access, though, but it’s not enough of a problem to make me quit using it. Speaking of the main compartment, it is smaller than most purses I’ve used previously, but it still works well enough for my needs. I can fit a very large zippered wallet, a cosmetic bag stuffed full of things, and easily much more when my kids or husband need to stuff something of theirs in. And yet it is small enough that I recently took it to a concert at a large arena with a strict bag policy, and there was zero issue with it passing through security. I wish that the two pockets on the inside of the main compartment were sturdier, as my things like taller lipglosses continuously fall out of them, which is annoying. I also wish that the two side pockets had just a tiny bit of stretch to them, as I am only able to fit a small water bottle in them. But their small size is also a plus, because I frequently stick my big phone in one, and I don’t have to really worry about it falling out, as it’s so snugly in the pocket. I have received numerous compliments on this bag from total strangers, including yet another one today, which reminded me I’ve been wanting to write a review, as this bag deserves a good one. I am seriously thinking of purchasing another one, same color or perhaps different, just in case it ever falls apart, I’ll have another one. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed. I read all the reviews on this ,did my homework on bags and reviews of them. This bag is my go to. It holds alot in the main compartment. There is a zipped pouch on the inside of the flap and two pockets inside the back pack- big enough to hold a few pens, cell phone etc. The two outside pockets (one on each side) are sturdy. As well I can put car keys, cell phone, my glasses in them. There is a zipped pocket on the outside as well and its big enough to hold keys, pens, etc. The backpack sits on my back perfectly, it does not weigh my on shoulders or back. ... show more

I'm changing review because of the vendors responsiveness to my original review. It didn't occur to me at the time to contact the vendor directly even though the Amazon window for return had passed. They reached out and were apologetic for the defective bag. Even after trying multiple ways of eliminating the odor I was not successful. The bag is pretty and well made. I may even order a small version too. I have to commend the vendor for making it right. I really appreciate the excellent customer service which is such a rarity these days. I was looking forward to getting a new travel backpack and this seemed perfect. Actually the construction of the bag is great BUT the inside stinks. It smells like fish. I’ve been airing it out from a week and even placed some deodorizer inside but after 2 weeks it is still smelly. I would love to return this bag but unfortunately I got rid of the packaging. Ugh! It is now in the garage airing out. I wonder how long it’s going to take. ... show more

I traveled throughout Europe for a couple of weeks with this and it was amazing! I never felt like my stuff was at risk of getting stolen, it hold a lot of stuff, and it's super cute. When it arrived it did smell like fish but I doused it in Lysol and febreze and now it smells fine. I've taken it on several other trips and fits the size requirements as a personal item on airplanen. I even convinced my mom to get one and she loves hers too (and hers didn't have a fishy smell) ... show more

This bag was incredible during my trip in Europe! It held everything I needed for a long day, including my skinny water bottle. (Note:Won't hold a 32oz bottle unless you put it inside the bag). Not only that, it was secure enough thanks to the zipper being hidden. The straps were extremely comfortable even when I packed the bag to the brim. Better than a cross body where you're uneven and in pain. This bag fit a 2017 ipad, and my kindle, and a small handheld umbrella. So... it fits everything you need. 10/10 the only bag ill travel with now. ... show more

Ok so I hardly ever write reviews, but I had low expectations for this product and I was completely blown out of the water. I ordered the larger version and I really love it. First of all, it's super cute. It looks well made and nice, not cheap so that's a plus. It's actually quite fashionable and looks very chic. Second, it's MUCH bigger than I anticipated. I fits my laptop as well as a pair of shoes, magazines, all of my carry-on items (like my makeup bag, etc), and I even fit a bottle of wine in the side pocket when I was visiting a friend. I really stuffed this baby full and it fit so much more than I expected. I bought this to use as a personal item for the month of travel I have coming up. Essentially I needed something cute that would hold snacks, water, entertainment, and the like for the day trips I was taking on a cruise this month, as well as for a day at Disneyland. Needless to say this is going to be perfect for that, plus I'm going to use it on my flight. I love how it opens in the back (where it rests on your back) so that it's more "steal proof" than a normal purse.
