This abaya has the potential to be a really great piece but unfortunately the fabric choice here really affects the flow and overall fit. The embroidery and detailing on the sleeves is very pretty. The open design if super convenient to through on as is or wear belted over jeans, dresses, anything. It can be dressed up or down. The fabric, however, is really not the right choice. It is stiff, starchy feeling and pretty rough on the skin. It does not flow well but rather kind of stands stiff and awkward around the body, lacking weight and softness. I am disappointed overall although my almost 15 year old daughter thinks she can still get some use out of it and style it somehow to make it work.

The best part about this is that it is very loose fitting and long so it’s perfect for tall girls! The material is the worst part. It looks and feels like a curtain. It is thick and coarse and uncomfortable. It is not breathable at all and you cannot regulate body temp while wearing this at all. If you are wearing in the winter you will never feel warm enough. If you are wearing in hot weather you will overheat. I wish I checked the polyester content beforehand or wish that it was clearly visible.
