I really wanted to love these shoes, but the opening for the ankle is way too big thus causing your foot to slip in and out every time you step. Very annoying and becomes uncomfortable. Definitely a flaw in manufacturing.

I originally ordered my normal size (9.5) and they were WAY too big. So I got half a size down, and they were still too big. Otherwise the construction, appearance and feel is excellent! The rubber on the soles is super tough, I wore them everyday last winter and spring and they look virtually brand new. 1st....locally, I could never find good boots available in Wide Width. Everywhere I go that sells Wolverine boots, finding wides to try on is impossible. So I took a gamble, got my size and ordered the wides. 2. I read another recent review saying that these run about a half size too big. That was true to a certain extent. They are not size wise longer, they just have more room for your foot making it feel like you got the wrong size. Like a sketcher, you might want to buy a half size smaller. However if you are like me and put in your own foot orthopedic inserts, then buying your normal size is fine. Just add the insert, do not take the original insert out. This will provide a perfect fit of support and wide width without making you feel like you got the wrong size. If you want the wide with and want to take out the provided insole, then buy a half size smaller. 3. Wear them for a day or two then add a coat of Bick 4. ... show more
