I got this painting kit because I haven't painted anything for so long, I was afraid I'd forgotten how. I love the beautiful tree and the stream that winds around it, plus the colors are so vibrant, they complement my eclectic style nicely. The canvas is thick enough to avoid sagging and will fit one of several 16x20 frames I already have. I haven't gotten started on painting it yet, but with the clearly marked paints and markings, it looks fairly easy for a re-beginner. Very nicely put together and there are several other scenes I intend to buy. Great product!

It's looks like a fun project but unlike some of the other paint by numbers kits that come with the canvas rolled up, this comes folded so you're going to have to figure out how to get the creases out...

This canvas was folded quite a bit in order to be mailed, so there are some substantial creases you will want to carefully iron out before beginning this project. The kit includes everything you need - paint, 3 brushes, canvas, guide, and hanging hooks - but the frame is not included! The printing on the canvas is dark enough to read, but the numbers are on small side, as usual, so if your eyesight isn't as strong as you'd like, you might want to have a magnifying glass on hand to reduce frustration. I also use my own brushes. The included brushes in kits like these are usually adequate, but if plan on painting on a somewhat regular basis, grab yourself a set of brushes.

This paint by number set comes with the canvas, 3 different brushes, 24 paints, mounting hardware (no cable/frame though), instructions and 2 inch faded color preview of what the end product should look like. The way the canvas was packaged means it had to be folded, which means you’ll probably have to follow the directions on ironing it to get it to be nice and flat as there’s some significant creasing. The three brush types are of varying fineness. The numbers on the canvas are printed well but do get a little bit squashed on numbers 20 through 24. Still readable, but something to pay attention to. Interestingly, enough, the problem often exhibited with these kits with the paint drying out, has been handled extremely well in this kit. The paints came vacuum sealed in its own packaging with a date on it. This ensures the paints freshness, and that it doesn’t dry out and you don’t have to experiment with figuring out how to add the right amount of water to reconstitute it. As for that mounting hardware, I’m not sure why it’s included in the kit as mounting hardware will depend on the frame (not included) and not to the canvas so I guess use it if you can, if not, save it??
