  • Works good
I ran the unit with 3700 PSI, My relief valve maxed out there. That was 46Hz on the variable speed 10 hp electric washer. So say that’s 8 hp running. I used #36 copper slag, called names like black diamond etc. industry standard media. I did a test run and I got down to white metal. I own a 40 year old commercial sand blasting machine and compared to that, the water blaster is 50% slower, that's ok by me because the commercial machine costs almost $100 per hour in gasoline to run. I changed the 1/4” pipe on the pressure washer wand to a pipe that is about 3” long to prevent arm and wrist fatigue. I have 100s of hours sand blasting experience, I would not recommend using beach sand or play pin sand. Wear good personal protection equipment. B-Rad ... show more

  • Excellent Tool
I decided to go with this version over the popular wet sandblasting kit in Amazon with the red hose as this has a much longer hose and looked higher quality. This thing a beast and has excellent build quality. I used it on my 4gpm 4200psi pressure washer and it removed 25+ yrs of rust and stains off of stock 96' 4runner rims in seconds without any hangups. The hose is long enough so you can keep the bucket of sand far enough from the work area to prevent clogs from wet sand in the bucket. I used play sand from Lowes and it did what I needed flawlessly without needing a higher abrasive like coal slag. Be sure to keep the hose facing up and on top of the wand while using to avoid water getting into the hose. It's the tool to have if you will be sandblasting a lot and have a solid pressure washer. Just get this one. ... show more

  • works amazingly well
This is an amazing product. I am using it with a commercial 16 horsepower pressure washer, it removes paint and rust easily and efficiently. I do wish there was some kind of bracket to stop it from swiveling, the hose must always be in the up position to keep the sand dry and to accomplish this one hand must hold the hose while the other hand holds the gun which is a little awkward. ... show more

  • sub-ideal performance with an electric pressure washer
The product description doesn't specifically say it, but this barely works with a consumer electric pressure washer. That said, I was surprised it was still able to to pull sand through the length of reinforced-hose this attachment uses and mix it into the water jet – it just wasn't very effective given the lower pressure of my 1800 PSI (supposedly) Harbor Freight pressure washer versus, say, a professional gas engine powered pressure washer with significantly higher PSI. It still managed to take paint and rust off an old shovel head, but the jet had to be right up close and hovered for a length of time. Time consuming, but still possible. I have no reason to think this wouldn't work much better with a more powerful pressure washer. The included instructions are mostly sufficient. They don't mention the air valve at the nozzle that controls sand uptake rate, but with a little use it was easy enough to figure out. I was only able to test with #20 silver sand, an angular sand. The instructions recommend using angular vs. round sands of various mesh sizes for different use cases, but ultimately I think some experimentation is in order to maximize effectiveness for whatever materials you're working on. Overall quality is alright. The winged handle of the air valve is poorly attached and fell off of mine. I was able to reattach it easy enough, though it should probably be soldered on if its to stay permanently. The only other thing I'd mention is that the sand uptake hose is quite unwieldy – having another person help wrangle it may even be necessary if you're moving around a lot. ... show more

  • Works very well if you have a big enough pressure washer
Was missing a part when delivered due to shipper "running over" the box. contacted seller who shipped out the replacement part right away. seems well made and I will for sure give it a workout doing several of my trailers!

  • A time-saver
Restoring a metal garage door and it did the job well of removing old flaky paint down to the shiny metal. A time-saver verses using a grinder.
