At the time of buying these little side tables I bought the cheapest one in the cheapest color available which happened to be the grey wood grain. I wasn't looking for any thing that was going to bear constant weight or use. It's main purpose will be next to the recliner to hold the occasional drink. I did read through the reviews for these and I can easily see where these would snap. Just don't overly tighten the bolt and you should be fine. My husband is able to weld so that's another reason I went with these side tables. I wasn't picky with the color because I am planning to use some sort of protection over the tops of these tables. They don't seem like they would hold up to the hot or cold drinks that would be placed on them. Options would be covering the entire surface of the wood grain with contact paper, that would give it much added protection from liquids and more designs available. Rubber shelf liner or a placemat would work well too. If you want to keep the wood grain color clear contact paper would be perfect and wrap the wood before attaching the bolts will be a life saver. ****This side table does come with feet to be attached at the bottom, they are hard plastic feet. If you have hard wood floors or some type of smooth surface you may want to pick up some felt or rubber furniture pads so they don't scratch your surfaces!**** That's one thing I realized I need to get for these side tables. ... show more

I bought these tables for our guest room as I had a very small space to work with and traditional night stands wouldn't work. I found the produce on Amazon and liked the price and the selection of colors they had to choose from. The product arrived and I put both tables together in less than 10 minutes. Their instructions were very simple to understand and everything was perfect, except the threads on one of the adjustable feet on the bottom of one of the tables was defective and wouldn't screw into any hole. In the instruction manual in big print, the manufacturer gave their email address to contact them if there were any issues. I contacted them and received an immediate response. They offered many solutions and compensation for the defective piece and I was extremely satisfied. In today's world where it seems that customer service as fallen by the way-side, I was overjoyed that there were still companies out there that cared about their customers and making things right, no matter how small the issue. Stows neatly away partially under the front of my couch. Sturdy, and the fake wood looks really good for fake, matches nothing wood like in my room. But that's just fine. I would strongly suggest using lock tite on the screws, as my experiences are they often work loose.

This little table is exactly what I needed. It is just under 12" wide and is very sturdy. One of the pre-drilled screw holes did not line up but it is so sturdy I am not worried about having a screw missing on the top.
