Alright…I love this table. The tools they included in the box to build the table were ok. However, make sure you have your own screwdriver! The one they provide will not tighten the screws in the table the way you need them to be. The tool they provides also will hurt your fingers after awhile. Normally, it takes me about an hour or so, maybe less to build furniture like this. It took me 3 WHOLE HOURS to do it. 🤦🏽♀️ 😭 After i built it, it was nice to use the table top to eat food without slouching over. Perfect for tiny apartments and studios. The extra storage space is great for putting remotes so you don’t lose them, and phone charger cords (my boys like to chew on things 😤). I needed a small size mid century modern style table for my new place and of course I had to have a lift top, I can’t live without one now. I put this together myself and it went pretty well. Just make sure to read the directions good and look at the holes and placement. Especially when connecting the lift top portion. I’m impressed honestly. From packaging to complete construction, which was HELLA easy. Just pay attention to the proper directions of the boards (bare wood sides face up and connect to the joint screws). There was 0 damage in shipping and they cap all the corners with great protective caps (I kept them lol), the wood is HEAVY, not plywood cheap crap, the lid is soft close, it’s actually high quality material which shocked me. My apartment is a little bit under 600 sq ft and I needed to replace the coffee table I had because--while solid, sturdy, and free--it was taking up too much space. Plus, with working from home, the lift top option appealed to me for those days I just want to be on the couch with my laptop. This was very easy to assemble, though the screws that go into the base make it evident that this is manufactured wood that will only have so much of a life. For now, the option is great. The lift top works well and holds, though with how light the table is you need to be cautious; if you lean too hard on the lift top while it's up, it will topple. The table legs are also plastic, which look like but I was a bit bummed that they weren't something sturdier. The felt bottoms also came off the legs immediately as my living room rug that the table sits on is shaggier. I'll need to find something better as the plastic legs do slide easily. Overall, I'm satisfied, and also happy with how the greige color also complements existing furniture I had. ... show more

For the price it's not a bad item. Smaller size though if you have a bigger room to fill or use it for. But I like it in my living room as it takes up less space then my last coffee table.
