Overall it's a good table for the price. But i faced issues while installing the table top. Instructions in Step 15,16 of the assembly manual are a bit misleading. Corrected solution - you should actually rotate the table 180 degree before installing the hinge with lift rods to avoid table not closing completely as shown in my review pictures. The support personal was prompt to respond to queries but i'm giving 4 stars due to the inconvenience caused by misleading instructions towards the end of the assembly process Give the product ... show more

It took a while to assemble. The instructions were not as clear and I thought I saw a video on how to assemble this so I went to the product information on Amazon and found a video. But when I played the video, it was not the right table. I don't know if it's the way it was assembled but when the top is lifted and you put it back down, the movement is not smooth and it sometimes will abruptly fall on the table. All in all, it's great! I've had an old lift-top coffee table for years that has had it's share of use because I live on my laptop- for work and personal use. It was on it's last leg so it was time for a new one. I ordered this lift-top coffee table because it was one of the more affordable ones. I saw in the comments a few people saying the directions were wrong so we assembled it by their advice instead of the directions- learned the hard way that we should have followed the included instructions because ours were correct- so the manufacturer may have corrected them after the comments of them being wrong. So I recommend following the directions included instead of going by reviews. Once assembled, the table is a good size and looks nice. The cons are that the top is very thin and feels very cheap- thin pressed wood with harsh sharp edges that are not comfortable for elbows to rest on. The top is challenging to raise up and lower- requires two hands on each side because it's very wobbly. I foresee this leading to many spilled drinks in the future if you're not super careful. The wheels have a piece that hangs down that drags on carpet, and will tear up your rug if you don't bend it up somehow- which we still need to do. It doesn't roll very smoothly on our rug so I'm concerned about it putting holes in my rug because it gets moved frequently. Even though it's one of the less expensive options, a hundred bucks is still a lot of money. Considering the price, I feel that this table could be greatly improved upon. ... show more

Sturdy coffee table. Nice storage areas. The top lifts nicely and has a gentle closure need both hands to open and close. Easy to assemble but the tools that come with it will put a hurting on your fingers.

THIS IS A CHEAP AND FLIMSY PIECE OF GARBAGE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They sent us the wrong color, espresso instead of red-brown. Okay, whatever. They shipped it UPS, so it was guaranteed to have some damage, and it did. The top & bottom corners were smashed in and broken, but hey, putty & stain can fix that. But beware the illustration for the top installation - it is backward!!! (I worked in metal fab and architecture for 30 years, so please heed my warning.) It looked like a good drawing, but 28 screws later, I found out it was backward. Pictured is my finished product. ... show more

As pointed out in other reviews (which I wish I had heeded before assembly), the E and F parts in Step 15 for the top part need to be swapped from what the instructions state. Aggravating to have to disassemble and reassemble the top but, once I got it right, the table looks pretty nice for the money. As also stated in other reviews, the wheels locking mechanism is too low and scrapes against the floor. I'm on a carpet so it gets buy but this will scratch a wood floor so either use the included non-wheel bottoms or bend the wheel locks up above the wheel. I will look for better replacement wheels at some point. With those caveats aside, I'm happy with the table as it has plenty of storage without taking up too much space and I like the rustic brown color. The versatility of the opening top with storage underneath is the main reason why I bought this and I like it. ... show more
