Wix Complete In-Line Fuel Filters are designed to protect fuel system components from contaminants in the fuel. They are made of pleated papers which prevents leakage of the fuel under compression loads. These filters withstand minimum internal differential pressure of 75psi.

This is quality filter for a great price. If you haven't changed your filter within the recommended interval, do yourself a favor and change it. I know it works. My fuel gauge was a little slow to respond. After you pump the gas it would take a few minutes for the fuel gauge to creep up and show the the correct fuel level. Once I swapped the filter, I took the old filter and opened it (a metal screwdriver and a hammer and a few hard blows - I was going to throw it away anyway). Surely enough the filter was clogged with all the impurities. The whole filter material was so covered with black goo, that I was surprised how it pumped fuel through it. And I always used Premium gas. Remember to get the fuel filter lock removal tool to make your work easier. And be a little patient with the removal to make sure you don't break the fuel line and end up with more problem than when you started. ... show more

It's November 2020 and just received it; stamped made in Taiwan. Saw some reviews from 5-6 years ago and they were made in the USA. Overall the the product feels solid, I'll put it on the shelf for now as a spare.

I have tried a few replacement fuel filters, including ACDelco. They all have failed to regulate the fuel pressure. This is the best one out there. No problems. I am going to order another one to have on hand when I need to replace it due to mileage; not defect.

    • These filters are hit or miss
I have had a couple C5 Corvettes and an LS Swap that uses these filter/regulator assemblies. In the past, the WIX filters were the only ones that worked properly. I've tried filters from many autoparts stores and found they don't regulate pressure properly and don't have check valves. This filter I dropped $60 on does not have a properly operating check valve. This allows all the fuel to run out of the lines and back to the tank. It also can cause low fuel pressure and lean conditions damaging the engine in my car. Don't waste the money on this filter assembly, buy a real fuel system with a real regulator. Your investment is at risk with these cheaply made filters. ... show more
