The product works great for me. As seen in pictures I didn't use the rear channel due to the fact that you would have to tilt the seat and bracket more than 90 degrees before it would come out of the front channel. Instructions were included though not needed as it is a quite simple install. It slides with ease when not sitting on the seat and locks in place when you are. Perfect setup for our 12 foot jon boat, I only wish I had purchased this a few years ago, but I was on the fence after reading some of the 1, 2, and 3 stars reviews. Anyway it's 5 star for me and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more as needed. ... show more

    • sharp edges
Easy to install, the large screws provided; bit into the jon boats aluminum bench and are very secure. Be careful of the aluminum mounting plate the manufacturer did not round off or smooth the edges very sharp and cut will slice your fingers. Need calcification, in the video's it shows the ability to tilt the mounting plate and a chair forward however if you install the back mounting rail as described you can not tilt the assembly forward to remove. They need to clarify how the back rail should be mounted with the flange up or down. the small pictured provided is 'small' to see. waiting on a return call from the manufacture to confirm. you maybe a quick release option to remove the chair if you cannot tilt forward to remove. ... show more

    • Slider seat rail install
The media could not be loaded. If you install your seat plate on top of the rear rail, and lubricate the top of the rear rail, and lubricate the front C rail, then if you just lift the back of your seat up a little bit, you will be able to slide it left and right realy easy. Then if you fold the seat all most all the way forward you can remove the seat out of the front C rail. In the instructions they said you can install it on top of the rear rail, or underneath the rear rail,but they recommend that it be mounted under the rear rail while the boat is moving. I installed mine on top of the rear rail, and lubricated it and the front C rail both, and it will slide really easy left to right, if you slightly pick up on the back of the seat. Then if you want to remove the seat just fold it all the way forward and lift it up out of the C rail. ... show more

    • Hardware included is all wrong...stunning.
The concept is great but the end result needs work. I am using the product on my Jon boat. it does not slide well while sitting on it. I don't know if that's good or bad but.... Also as stated in my title, the Hardware that was included was an absolute joke. Not only were there not enough screws but most were not even the right kind. I had to buy them myself and realized after installing that the head of the screws I bought, while they looked ok, were a little tall and got in the way of the seat sliding so the seat caught on the head caught until I changed to a different screw with a lower profile head. The instructions were terrible so I went on line and looked up a you tube video, very helpful. The installation is very forgiving which is helpful since I had to change it about three times due to the screws being wrong. ... show more

    • Very useful for tiller drive boats
The media could not be loaded. Allows you to slide seat to side when running the tiller, then back to center for fishing. Metal on metal make sliding a little sticky. We used silicone spray which helps. No instructions but from pictures posted from other people we figured it out. Lacks some of the screws but that was an easy fix. Once you have the seat in the front channel then you mount the rear piece over the top of the seat. ... show more

I got 2 of these for our fishing boat. They are great. You have to think a little when your installing. These things make it so easy to adjust seating for pilot view and balancing the boat. A little pricey but well worth the money. Heavy duty alum. well made. I would buy again.

    • Don't waste your money.
Amazon shipped these packages so poorly the contents were coming out of the box when they arrived. No mounting screws were provided and no instructions for installation either. Not even the manufacturer's website provides these. The seat mounting plates would not fit commonly used Tempress all weather seats we have for our boat. They also would not mount on our boat seats as they have a rounded edge. Look elsewhere! ... show more
