Paid full price and received an open, damaged box. Item scratched and dirty. Very disappointed. We expected quality and got less. Prime member for years but considering a change. Expensive and not like it used to be.

I purchased this acrylic 52” board on Amazon. Best price I found and added the fixed bracket for $35. Very nice installed. Pretty sturdy over an adjustable. Adjustable can stick out over 3 feet. I reviewed the bracket for installation that could be helpful to some.

I’m not going to do the typical “really depends on what your attaching this to” spiel. Or the “wow, these instructions could be more clear”. I’ll stick to what they don’t tell you. A: the picture of product has an orange rim. This is black. It never tells you WHEN to remove the acrylic protector sheet, you’ve been warned. And no matter how much repositioning you do, you will NEVER get those final screws to go in snug for the bottom board protector. Not impressed. ... show more

    • Overall good but has a key design error

Overall works well. Pretty easy to assemble. Two key errors in the design and/or instructions. 1) instructions say 2 people can hang the backboard. No way for a roof installation. The adjusting spring is so tight need one person just to be able to set is properly. 2) The supposed stabilizer bars are not properly angled to add any stability to the assembly when doing a roof install. Luckily there was an extra hole in the main upright that could be used with 2x4ft guy wires attached with appropriate sized bolt, nut, washers set up. This really is a problem.. a backboard should not wobble when a shot is taken. ... show more

It is not the same color that it shows in the photo, you also have to use a drill to drive the screws into the side to put the plastics in. Be prepared for that, and it came with that scratch since it arrived. It came well packaged but I specifically asked for it black because I even bought the ball the same color to play the game.
