I purchased this acrylic 52” board on Amazon. Best price I found and added the fixed bracket for $35. Very nice installed. Pretty sturdy over an adjustable. Adjustable can stick out over 3 feet. I reviewed the bracket for installation that could be helpful to some.

    • Broke after one year. Waste of money.

The backboard cracks easily. It cracked on the first day after a neighborhood kid dunked on it. It completely broker after one year with a simple jump shot. I would avoid this product if you're interested in a durable item. Go for a polycarbonate backboard.

    • Overall good but has a key design error

Overall works well. Pretty easy to assemble. Two key errors in the design and/or instructions. 1) instructions say 2 people can hang the backboard. No way for a roof installation. The adjusting spring is so tight need one person just to be able to set is properly. 2) The supposed stabilizer bars are not properly angled to add any stability to the assembly when doing a roof install. Luckily there was an extra hole in the main upright that could be used with 2x4ft guy wires attached with appropriate sized bolt, nut, washers set up. This really is a problem.. a backboard should not wobble when a shot is taken. ... show more
