I use both probes for temp control, the best of all the 3rd probe I use to monitor the temperature of the grill itself. I'm setting inside and know what is going on outside. Remember this is Arizona right now and my Temperature outside has been 110 plus. When it gets to 118 degrees in the shade 😎 well trust me this comes in handy. I highly recommend this item for anyone who has to keep a eye on what you are doing. For me it is a matter of seconds between medium rare or well done. The fact it has two meat probes and one meant for inside air temp of smoker is perfect. Although smoker has a thermometer having the probe measure inside air is much more accurate. Highly recommend. Might like probe cord to be another 6” longer but I can live with the current length

Having used the meat thermometer for the third time in my smoker, give reliable temperatures and warning if temperatures rise or drop too much. The instructions are difficult to follow but once you understand them, the system works great.

Purchase to use when doing some long smoking of briskets... it was really easy to set the temp so it would alarm me once smoker and the internal meat hit that temp... really love the wireless, thou first time alarm went off, it scared my wife!!!

A friend bought me this set, it’s such a great set I had to buy one for my mom who is new at bbqing. You will never have a complaint about overcooked food again. You set the temperature to what meat you are cooking and insert the thermometer, when it’s done the thermometer will beep. You have one base on the bbq and you can take the second one inside while you are prepping the rest of the meal.
