I ordered this ski mask to have a cheap spare for my (allegedly) nicer BlackStrap (BS) ski masks, which I normally wear, that have an all-over poly design with a soft face cover that fits tighter. Normally I end up shaving my beard for winter so that my ski mask can fit snugly over my face without itching. This mask has a neoprene area over the mouth and nose, which I normally don't find comfortable, but this one leaves a bit of extra space at the front, so it's not rubbing against your face. This space creates a little pocket of warm air, and helps divert your breath away from your goggles. When using this ski mask I had absolutely no problems with goggle fogging, which is usually a routine problem for me. The larger "pouch" in the mouth area also means that my beard was completely comfortable without any rubbing or itching. I got this as a backup, but it has become my new favorite ski mask. Also, right out of the package, it didn't have any weird smells and was ready for immediate wear! 5/5

I got this balaclava to wear while shoveling and walking my dogs when it's very cold and windy. It is well made and not too heavy, which is what I was looking for. It has two layers, and the inside is a softer microfleece-type fabric, so it is soft and comfortable. The vented design on the mouth and nose definitely helps with fogging and keeps the inside from getting wet, which happens with my current product. The opening around the eyes is very wide to accommodate glasses. This is great for vision and for sports but takes a little away from the warmth. It does seem to run a little large and I think I have a normal size head, so if you are very petite it may gap on you.

I was really excited about the shape of this mask. I fog my glasses walking the dog in colder weathers and would love something with a little more room to breathe. Maybe it's just me, but the fabric rubs the bridge of my nose and I ended up still getting my glasses all fogged up while wearing. It looks nice and may still have uses in my closet, but it didnt do what I hoped it would. Smaller heads may prevail.

This hood/mask gives adequate warmth on chilly days or nights. I don’t believe it’s meant for extreme cold but if you add a jacket hood or another Beanie on top of it then it would make an ideal layering mask. The nose/mouth cover with the holes in it does seem to help with moisture dissipation. But it doesn’t eliminate it completely. Overall I would recommend this hood if you’re looking for an item to give added warmth on a cold day.

I really like this balackava. It seems to be pretty well made the stitching look good, it's pretty comfortable. It's not super warm but it certainly breaks the wind and does the trick. I got it mostly for riding a bike in the winter. I have a few other balaclavas, and this one works better than any of the others. The venting on the mouth and nose helps prevent my glasses from fogging up which is great, but it's also not too bulky so it doesn't impede into your peripheral vision. Overall I found it very useful and comfortable.

The fit, moisture absorption and breathability work great with a helmet with goggles. Breath management doesn't work as well for me under a hat or hood without goggles as with hiking or shoveling. The fit and moisture absorption work really well even with a hood or hat and glasses, but the breath control doesn't for me. I used this under my hood with my glasses for shoveling and snow blowing with temps in the single digits and wind chill below zero. The temperature control and sweat management worked great, much better than without. However, I had problems with my glasses fogging badly with this over my mouth. Breathing was easy with the formed portion of the mask, but the seal around my nose was not tight enough to keep the warm breath from fogging my glasses badly. I had to pull the mask away from my mouth in order to keep my glasses clear. I haven't tried this specifically with hiking, but I believe it would be the same situation. Great for some use cases!

I try to mountain bike in the winter months as much as I can but have to be bundled up in order to do so, which is why I got the Beehow Winter Ski Mask. I wanted something that would keep my face warm but also wanted it to be thin so it could fit under my helmet. The fit is good and really like its versatility wearing it with/without the top or on the face. The nose hole gives you good breathing ability and same thing with the small holes they have near the mouth. I love having an extra long length so you can tuck it inside a hoodie or jacket.

A little thinner in the face shield than some other balaclavas I have. Definitely not as warm as fleece, but that's as expected and what I wanted. A strong plastic odor from the face shield part itself, though a wash made that better but not perfect.
