    • It's A Solid Yes From Me!
I scoured the internet high and low on the quest to find a new duvet for a new bed for a child. I LOVED the one we had for the smaller bed and wasn't willing to settle for just anything. We just received this a couple of days ago but it appeared to be free from defects upon opening and inspecting it, held up well in the washer and dryer, and had zero odor before or after washing. I was hesitant to commit to it based on some of the reviews but thus far I'm glad I went for it. I put it inside of a thin duvet cover and it looks and feels quite fluffy. It come vacuum sealed so of course it looks (and is) flat when it's opened but that's not at all the case once it's washed and dried. It does feel fairly light as far as blankets go BUT I covered up with it before washing just to get a feel for the weight and immediately felt it starting to warm me up. Paired with a duvet I expect this will be an idea all-seasons blanket. Possibly a little light for a harsh winter but you could easily pair it with another blanket for extra warmth. For Spring-Fall it seems it will be ideal. If you're wanting something with significant weight to it this isn't going to fit the bill but if you're wanting to feel your blanket on top of you without it really weighing you down this will be perfect, especially once in a cover. Definitely the feel I was going for now that it's in the duvet cover and on the bed. I'd say the title is slightly misleading for some in that it uses the term "goose down alternative" so I can see how some may be expecting a legitimate down blanket but if you read the description is clearly states it is down alternative which is what I was looking for since it's for a child's room and accidents are bound to happen. There was no obvious bunching or shifting of the fabric during/after the first wash and dry. I'll update if it doesn't hold up but thus far I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of this duvet! ... show more

Now that I have had this for a while I must say it is great and has held up so well. light weight enough to use year round and just adds that extra touch of comfort that reminds me of some hotels i stayed at in Japan that prompted me to want one. It washes nicely.

I bought the queen size after our current down filled comforter turned into a bed sheet as it had shed all of the feathers. Ordered this mostly because of price compared to down. Down has its advantages, however, i am not that particular. My worry was getting a comforter that is fluffy. This is definately fluffy. Now, it tends to run a bit warm, so if you want something lightweight or lighter weight, this may not be the one. No smells or other concerns from the non down filling. Very comfy and warm. Nice design and size. The only reason I gave 4 star is they don't have in any other color. I really didn't want white color, but I like it so much I am still keeping it. But, other colors can be welcomed. Nice quality otherwise.
