I bought this shoe bench for it's slightly larger dimensions to fit perfectly in our vestibule and hold all of my family's shoes. My husband's gigantic size 17 sneakers can rest on the shelves without sticking out too much. The bench is sturdy enough for my kids to climb around on, and I would expect it to support an average weight adult. I had zero problems assembling it. The parts were packaged just enough for protection during shipping, but without excessive waste, which I and the planet appreciate. All the hardware was there, the pre-drilled holes were perfectly aligned, and the instructions were easy to follow. My only problem with the bench is that there is an obvious blemish in the veneer. It looks like it was manufactured with the flaw allowed in the material. I don't really mind the blemish because the bench is just utilitarian for my family, but if I was keeping it in a more visible area of my house, I would probably exchange it for another. ... show more

I was surprised at how light the box was, I was expecting it to be heavy. I must say the color of this product is amazing. It's a rich teak-wood color, really fantastic. It seems sturdy enough, I wouldn't drop it out of a window. For me this was the perfect solution to all the shoes laying around my garage door. Useful at storing shoes. You can easily stack stuff on top of it, but if you sit on it, its not very sturdy. I'm not a light man so I don't totally fault it, but the construction is not too sturdy. It was easy to put together

    • Perfect for laundry room and cheaper than others!
Just needed something cheap for our now 4 kids to put their shoes on in the laundry room as I'm tired of constantly having them laying all over the place and tripping on them. The slats are great for allowing the dirt to fall thru so it's easy to just sweep up the dirt under it, might get into other shoes but they haven't complained, and the insides of their shoes are probably dirty anyway. Came with two cracked/split boards on the seat but doesn't impair function or stability after a few months of use. It probably holds about 12-14 pairs of various kids sized shoes on the shelves. ... show more

This shoe rack came packaged well ready for assembly. It is a good size to hold twelve pairs of shoes. Other smaller racks are limited to about nine pairs. So for a little larger unit you are able to accommodate a few more pairs. I gave this four stars as the quality control on one small piece of wood could have been refined better. Otherwise when it is filled with shoes that area is not visible. It feels quite sturdy to use as well. ... show more

    • A good design...more quality
I really like this bench, I just wish it were fabricated a little better. There are chips on some of the corners of the wood and the corners don't come together perfectly. In the end, I don't think anyone will be examining my shoe rack at close range but I don't think it is a super good deal.     • Nicely designed and very sturdy
I love this product. I use it in my breezeway for our shoes and I can put 12 pairs of shoes and in the summer the amount of flip flops and sandals doubles. It is very sturdy. You can sit on to put your shoes on.
