As a trainer and former fighter who still spars frequently with students, I've owned roughly twenty to thirty different headgear models which include: The Winning Fg-2900, Fg-50000, Grant professional, Reyes Full Face & Reyes Mexican Style, Ringside Competition & Masters, Lonsdale, FightGear,Fighting Sports, Gorilla ...etc. I've tried them all. I made the mistake of carelessly lending out my Winning FG-2900 and Fg-5000 back in 2012 to clients that did not fully understand the value of this equipment (she lost them). Let me tell you, nothing compares to Winning even at the $260 price point. The comfort level alone separates this piece of equipment from anything else on the market. It seems like a simple design that most manufacturers should be able to easily copy, but no one has done so successfully. It's analogous to wearing a silk pillow on your head compared to other mid-level brands. Next, the protection for your nose is excellent. If you have a large angular nose (you know one that's bad for boxing) this will be your saving grace and the next best thing to a full face bar which restricts your vision. It took me 3 years to figure out just how much I missed and needed this headgear in my collection AS MY ONLY HEADGEAR. If you're new to the sport, invest in the fg-2900. Even if you can't appreciate the advantages of Winning as a beginner, you'll come to appreciate its superior craftsmanship and functionality down the line. Never lend it out or lose it. It's irreplaceable. The fit conforms to your head like no other brand. Last, the amazon shipping was insanely fast. I ordered it on the 19th of March and received it on the 23rd even though the shipping details said it would take 6 weeks. Excellent delivery time considering they are located in Japan.

Loving my fg2900! Everything about this transaction was great. At the time of ordering, I was estimated about a two week delivery (covid), however was shocked when the package was waiting for me a few days after ordering. As far as product, you definitely get what you pay for. Pricer that other head gear but great value for what you pay. I spar any where from 1-3 times a week mainly with bigger guys. The head gear is very light to the point of hardly noticing it’s on once I get going. Make sure to measure your head before buying. If you buy the right size, the head gear is very comfortable especially with the adjustable pull strings. Post sparring I typically feel great after wearing. Boxing’s a contact sport, so you can still get banged around and bruised up, but ever since sparring wearing mine, definitely noticed less bruising around the eyes and less headaches post spar. I would definitely recommend.

Winning has a reputation for the best boxing gear, and despite no advertising/marketing, their products are widely used by pros, because their products are top-notch. The FG2900 is comfortable, super lightweight, cheek guards protect well and don't compromise visibility much. Padding is superb and does a great job at absorbing impact, so you will have less headache after sparring.

Very good headgear I spar every week and I’m switching from a full face with the bar headgear and I definitely prefer this as it’s lighter and allows me to breath better and a bit better vision and agility. Winning is one of the best brands out of here. I recommend this piece and it’s very nice looking as well.

I personally didn't want to have to be home to sign for the package so I called DHL and waived the signature. But it's nice that it was available if I wanted a more secure delivery. Got it in two days after buying it! I own both the fg-5000 with the facebar and the fg-2900 winning makes the best facebar and cheek protecoout there.. it does get hot and sweaty but thats the only downside you wont feel it nor care when sparring though. All i can say is this is the best in boxing! Highly recommend! one lump sum of money spent will last you a lifetime. Invest in your training gear.

This is a brilliant headgear for boxing. I trained in it and boxed in an amateur tournament in it. It is light and does not move on your head. I modified it slightly by removing the lace at the back and replacing it with an elastic bungy to put on easily and for a snug fit. Some constructive criticism for Amazon - please publish the manufacturer's sizing charts on your website with products like this, it makes it much easier to select the right sizes when buying.
