I got this as an activity for our 13 month old, and he loves it. It was easy to assemble (snap accessories into place) and he has a lot of fun "playing" the xylophone and cymbals. It's not too loud but still might be a "sometimes out" toy :-) It's attractive and a good size!

The piece that attaches the cymbal is the shortest screw i have ever seen and it is suppose to twist into and unthreaded hold to secure the cymbal down but it broke within a day and no longer holds tight my one year old daughter can just yank it off! cool toy other than that!

This toy is a big hit! My daughter loves tapping all of her toys on this to see the different sounds it makes. I also showed her how to roll a ball across the xylophone to make it ring out and she loves that too. The xylophone actually sounds nice and is in tune, at least with itself so I can play a couple of simple little songs on it. It has seen quite a bit of use so far and nothing has broken so the durability seems good. It’s finished nicely and is a good size to be easily moved around but not feel flimsy. A good, solid toy. The cymbal could be more…well…cymbal like. It sounds more like a xylophone note than a cymbal. But that’s a very small complaint. Overall, I’m happy with it! ... show more

This looks like a nice little xylophone with percussive attachments, and indeed the percussive attachments are of a good quality, including a nice sounding cymbal. However the xylophone keys are absolutely tinny sounding. There are two drumsticks which are of adequate quality, but overall, this is a disappointment to me. I gave it four stars because the wood frame and the percussive instruments are of good quality. It's sad that the main reason for being does not have a better tone. I am sure a young child will not be so discerning. ... show more

My nephew went crazy over this one! He had a blast banging and making all kinds of noise and just being a kid. My SIL thought it was great. My brother insisted the toy stay at my place hahaha! You could hear his banging over loud conversation and it was just loads of fun. He liked the cymbals and xylophone the most. He barely touched the other addition, but as he gets older I imagine he’ll get better musical skills and rhythm. Really love how this engages him and how he can have fun for hours if he wanted to. ... show more
