Package arrived in good condition. Product looks good and is what was expected. Inside the bag was a half sheet of paper asking for a review of the product. I was very surprised at the effort put forth to get feedback, but no information on the recommended drill size for these pin. As a manufacture of an item designed to be inserted into a hole for the purpose of retention you would think that there would be something stating recommended hole size, could even be printed on the included paper begging for feedback. I checked amazon's dimensional information and found the insert dimensions 3" x .25" x 3" (last 3" not needed for a round part), further checking the description information describe as; "size/weight W3" x D0.3 x H0.3". Assuming W stands for weight, W 3" = 3 inches?? Assuming D stands for diameter "D =0.3" conflicts with the stated diameter of 0.25". Assuming H stands for Height; H 0.3" does not equal a 3 inch length/height. Would have been 5 stars if information was correct and available. ... show more

Exactly as described. I took down our shutters to repaint, and during the take down realized I was going to need new fasteners. Couldn’t find these in store at any of my local Home Depot’s or Lowe’s, and this was the lowest price I could find. Shipping was quick - received them sooner than expected.

Did what it was suppose ! Took old one out put new ones in. Some were hard to line up but at the end they worked great! Would definitely buy again!

    • Be cautious when tapping in to place
Many of these bent at initial insertion, some at two places along the shaft, and were non-usable after they bent. So, plan on wasting a few when planning your project, and be gentle when tapping the screws in to place. Be sure to align the hole in the shutter with the hole in the wall for less waste.
