Purchased for my wife as her first set of clubs and she is a total beginner. This review is based upon our initial experience with the clubs but without playing a round as of yet. The clubs came exactly as advertised and contained all the advertised components. Set was securely packaged and each club was individually wrapped and arrived unblemished. We ordered the cart bag option and the bag is multi colored in white and two soft greens, contains a variety of zippered pockets, ample club storage and is of very good quality. The cart bag does not feature a bag stand so choose carefully. Overall the bag is attractive and functional. Her clubs (standard length) are approximately one inch shorter than my men’s Wilson clubs(steel shafts irons) and feature graphite shafts, sole weighted irons with forgiving soles. The combination of these features seems to foster a swing that will allow her to elevate the golf ball more easily. The grips are comfortable and the clubs are stylish. The driver, five wood and fairway wood feature grips and shafts that are similar to the irons and the oversized heads are well balanced and inspire confidence. The head covers are loose fitting but serve their purpose adequately. The putter is serviceable and after all is it the ‘arrow or the archer’ that makes the difference? What would we change? Just add a rain cover for the bag so the clubs don’t slide out during transport in the trunk. Overall impression: For a starter set priced at approximately $425.00 with tax we think that this Wilson SGI Ladies set is a good value and expect years of trouble free use as they are well constructed, intelligently engineered and should foster improvement as well as enjoyment. ... show more

I’m new to golf and got this as a starter set that didn’t break the bank. It seems nice and came with all the clubs needed. Only thing is the bag came dirty, which is minor but still kind of annoying! Otherwise cute set and hoping they last!

I don’t know how it happened, but I bought my set (Tall) at a ridiculously good price (like 48% off list). I’d say at that price it was especially worth it, though I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable spending beyond $300 for the set. It works well for beginners, the whole thing is pretty lightweight, and I do like the teal coloring. Compared to the super cheap clubs I was using, these did cut a bit off of my game. The bag is a little cheap, it was fraying a little at the zipper seams, and the material is very thin, that’s where I’d argue the price point especially. Since the clubs are for beginners, there is a certain price point I think most people would fall into when starting a game like golf (ie, you don’t want to pay too much, just in case you don’t like it. But on the flip side, your enjoyment increases with better clubs, since you will play better). Overall, it works well as a decent set for a beginner. My mom and sister have the other Wilson women’s sets, and I would argue this one is a bit superior to theirs (I think I had one or two extra clubs that they didn’t). You can definitely buy it and hop on the links that day, it has everything you’d need aside from balls and tees. ... show more

I know a lot of people mention having issues with the clubs arriving damaged or used-looking. However mine were perfect. The set had bubble wrap and plastic wrap over each club and the whole bag was inside a Wilson box which was inside an Amazon box. I love the look, feel, and style of these clubs and excited to test them out. I only just received them so I can’t comment on the rusting issue but I’m happy with my purchase as a beginner golfer. ... show more
