I bought this for my son 12 years old as a birthday present. He is 4'11" and we went with large size in the hope he gets a couple seasons out of them. A little on the large size, but he seems to grow another inch every couple months, and for now he just chokes down a little on the clubs. He is a beginner with some camp experience and lessons under the belt. I've seen him hit the driver over 100 yards, and the irons and wedges are pretty forgiving. My 11 year old likes these clubs. He is an average sized 11 year old. They might be slightly big for him, but the size down from these is too short. He used them most of the summer and they should work for next summer as well. Nice set if your kid is a casual golfer.
