  • Even with the price tag this thing is worth it!
This 11.75" infielders glove is everything you'd expect - Wilson does a fantastic job building a glove that will last for years. It's a bit uncomfortable at first, but after playing catch a couple times it molds to your hand pretty well. It's very hard to be good with the glove within the first few weeks of having it because the leather is so hard. You can catch the ball, but it's not as easy as when you have a glove that is broken in. I've had the glove for 3-4 months now, and it feels amazing. Its easy to catch, transfer, and field ground balls. The leather still holds a good rigid shape, but it's soft enough to be able to do all of the things you need to do. I'm not in any competitive or rec leagues - I simply like playing catch and messing around with friends and family. Even though this glove has a hefty price tag, it's worth it in my opinion. Wilson does such a good job - it's incredibly satisfying to catch with this thing. It pops like no other glove I've used - sometimes if someone throws it hard enough it sounds like a fire cracker or pop gun. All in all, even though you're spending ~$240 (I got mine for $240) it's worth it in my opinion. If you are done growing and ready for a really nice glove you hope will last a while, this is it. Look no further! ... show more

  • A2000 Quality is hard to beat
My 12 year old son is a catcher on a travel baseball team that travels extensively(75+ games per year). His Wilson A800 mitt had served its purpose catching 10-11u kids that throw 50-60mph. It’s a lower quality leather and wore out quickly. He was ready for a 33” glove but has small hands. I was also concerned about the weight of a bigger higher quality glove. The Wilson A2000 PF33 “pedroia fit” was the perfect answer. It offers supreme leather quality plus its designed for a “12-15 year old player” that might have smaller hands. In addition the back of the glove is Wilson’s super skin leather. It’s a lighter more flexible leather that reduces the overall weight of the glove. It also make for an extremely comfortable fit on the hand. Make no mistake about it...it will take a little while to break in due to the high grade leather Wilson uses in this glove. The thumb support/protection on this model is supreme. He is currently catching high school pitchers in our off season who throw in the 80’s. He loves how it protects his palm and thumb. The pitchers love the crack it makes when he catches them. This glove will last years. His hand will likely outgrow it before it wears out. Once you buy it, go to Wilson’s site and follow Shigeaki Aso’s method for breaking it in. Don’t use heavy oils or dunk it in water. Continually work it like he does and simply catch with it. It’s worth every penny. ... show more

  • Great deal for a top of the line glove
The glove came quickly. This is real top of the line leather. It was harder to break in thank I expected, because it was our first high end glove. Once it was broken in my son was the the talk of his whole team. We used a lot of oil (Vaseline) to break it in and it got much darker and looks even cooler. ... show more

  • Fantastic Infielders Glove
This is, far and away, the best glove I have ever owned. Do not get in a hurry to break it in, this is a very stiff glove, and it is designed that way to be the last glove you ever buy if it is taken care of properly. The webbing and fingers remain stiff and solid for a great pocket after break-in. The pocket forms nicely, the lacing and inside palm of the glove are very high quality and hold together nicely even during the rather violent break-in of the glove when you are using a mallet and working the pocket of the glove as well as the webbing. Currently, I am having to fight my middle schooler off from trying to steal it from me. I have a feeling another one will be headed to my house in the near future. ... show more

  • Great quality glove that lasts.
An amazing glove. My boys (11-14) play baseball year round. The Wilson A200 is awesome. It holds up well. Great quality leather. Spend the money, get a good glove that they will have for years and feel safe as the develop and play at higher levels. The glove is stiff and tough to break in (Due to a good quality thick leather)for the younger kids but a hot water dip or steam will speed up the process. Definitely recommend this glove. ... show more

  • Best Glove On The Market
My boys play year round and we have tried other gloves and they don’t make it a season this glove is so durable with extra comfort and has held up through this year perfectly.

  • Great quality, beautiful glove
Got this for my 13U who has had opportunities to catch upper 80's on a regular basis. Last glove was the fantastic A1k. We broke this in by pouring hot water all over the outside and immediately taking balls from the pitching machine at a good velocity as well as carefully folding to get a square pocket. Same process used on two prior A1k gloves and it works perfectly. Son was immediately comfortable with the glove and loves it. Provides good protection from serious heat and looks damn nice doing it! ... show more

  • My first A2000
This glove immediately caught my eye with the black and yellow color pattern (Pittsburgh Fan). I tried one on first at a local sporting goods store and loved the short finger stalls, which is worked well for my fat short fingers. The wrist strap needed adjustment but otherwise this fit's literally like a glove on my XL size hand. So many people in glove reviews go on and on about break in being difficult, and I've owned some that took a little longer than others to get ready but I'm a firm believer that no matter what you do: boil, microwave, soak, oil, car tire, mattress - you really can not hurt a ball glove. For this Wilson I used hot water, stretching, a glove wacker, and threw catch for an hour the first day. Copious amounts of Nokona Conditioner and a belt after it dried that night. I repeated the process for the next two days minus the hot water and was fielding grounders well by day three. Glove looks and plays beautifully and I'm very happy to add it to the pile in the garage. ... show more
