I was concerned about removing the tub drain without causing damage and turning a small project into a huge one. That made me hesitant about the screw in type drain replacements. The Universal Nufit was a perfect solution. My only complaint was the model I ordered included the pin to screw into the crossbars of the old drain. My drain did not have crossbars. I needed the silicone adhesive which is not included in this Watco drain model since it is assumed the pin would be screwed into the crossbars. There is another model without the pin and with silicone adhesive included (48400-CP). The picture on Amazon of this model didn't look like what I needed so I bought the 48701 drain Kit. I used my own silicon adhesive so no big deal. ... show more

This drain piece is awesome - saved me from spending $$$ on a plumber or on a new bathtub because the drain was corroded!

Arrived with all that is shown in picture, what did not arrive with it is the watco sealant that is required to install the trim on the drain. Without this the product is useless and in this case we purchased 6 of these kits. This sealant had to be ordered separately? Fortunately the Amazon rep went above and beyond to find a solution and sent a comparable sealant at no cost which will allow us to install. ... show more

The post that holds the suction cup stopper is too short to allow access for a prolific shedder, like myself, to clean the hair out. It would be better if the stopper had more clearance from the grate, or was just a separate piece altogether. The overflow plate did not work for us- the prongs to attach using 2 screws were not wide enough to accommodate our existing posts. We’ll keep looking for a permanent solution! ... show more

This product worked extremely well. Easy to install within minutes. Remember that if your using the glue, it must cure first before using shower/bath. This product works so well that it will catch the shortest of hairs. Due to its ability to catch all hair length, you need to keep it clean in order to not slow down the draining of water. ... show more
