These little Willow Tree figurines are absolutely beautiful! I've purchased several of them over the last couple of years as teacher gifts. This particular one I purchased as a gift for my daughter's reading buddy, who was getting ready to graduate from elementary school. I also purchased a second one as a gift for her library teacher. Both recipients were delighted with it! My daughter's reading buddy said that she would treasure it always. The figurine is just about 4.5 inches tall and has a nice weighty feel to it (it's not too delicate). If you're looking for a gift to give to a teacher, or someone who has had a significant impact in your life, especially where education is concerned, this is perfect....beautiful to look at, meaningful, and not too expensive! I love the way she is reading her book, but the book should be farther out towards her knees. Maybe I feel this way because I'm over 80 and even with glasses I can read books close to me.

This is part of my granddaughter's Christmas gift this year. It speaks volumes. She loves to read and also has brown hair. It was common to see her with a book in her hand whenever we went to visit and she always brought something with her when she and her parents came to visit.
