I have skin cancer so I did research various brands, this is the same as other higher priced companies with fancy color schemes. Lightweight: It was a little warmer than the past bikini top I used to wear but not by much. If I'd been out boating it would be great under a lightweight jacket. Sweated a little but not much, it does wick away sweat. Coverage was excellent, all down my arms to my hands and round the back of my neck. I did put the hood up when spraying windows and it kept me from getting wet, dried within minutes. Versatile enough to wear on any day, even cooler days. SIZE: I read the other reviews and usually wear a medium but opted for a large for sleeve and hem length, glad I did. 5'4" 114lbs so it's a little big around the middle but it gave me more move to reach and stretch without it riding up. These tops are my go-to for chilly morning runs. It doesn't get too cold where I live (low 40s F is about as cold as we get) so this lightweight top is perfect. I have it in 4 different colors and they have washed and dried well for almost 2 years now (standard cycle washer and dryer about 1x per week each). They run true to size (I wear a small and I'm 5'2, 110lbs). Thumb hole and hood are nice features, but the hood is kinda small if you wear a pony tail. ... show more

I’m 5’4” and ordered a large. I chose this brand because I saw a UV test on YouTube confirming this hoodie truly is 50 UPF. Yay! The fit is great and I love the lightweight material. My husband said it looked good on me. The thumb holes are in a good position and do not pull. I believe a large would have fit as well, but I do not like tight shirts when I am hot.The only con I have, but it’s a BIG con, is the hood. It needs to be at least 3” longer. The rim of the hood doesn’t come close to my hairline, leaving part of my scalp and forehead exposed. I’ll keep it anyway because it’s truly that comfortable. A lot of UPF clothing makes me super hot but this shirt doesn’t. Wearing a ballcap under the hood keeps the hood in place and covers my scalp and forehead. If they made the hood have more coverage this would EASILY be my favorite UPF hoodie. I’ve had melanoma twice and basal cell carcinoma once. Sun protection is extremely important to me. I bought another one and the material was totally different, a lot thinner but still great quality. While they do provide nice sun protection at a decent price, I have some issues with these shirts. Like many other reviews stated, the sleeve lengths are too short to use the thumb holes comfortably. You can still use them, but your hand will start cramping up. The hood is only large enough to protect the back of your neck the very back of your head. I can't pull it up over my entire head, it won't even cover my ears. Also, it's 100% polyester, which is great for blocking UV rays, but not so great for breathability. Overall, I'm glad to have sun protective clothing, but I will not buy this brand again. ... show more
