  • Fantastic product. Great time out on the slopes with them
Color: Stealth / Ice Blue Size: Adult
I'm going to try to be as objective as possible, but after spending two days out in the best conditions we've had all year, it's hard to separate the overall experience from the goggles themselves. They are related, since I'm still smiling about the great long ski days I had with them. First off, this product is one I wanted to like. -It's a US company, -they donate some of their profits to environmental preservation, -the product has interchangeable lenses with side clasps to ensure they don't pop out accidentally, -they even have a plastic mesh over the top vents to protect the foam barrier from wear and tear. -they're not $150-$200 like the big name brands I bought Blaze Blue roca goggles and wanted a low light alternative to go with them. I grabbed the amber, and just recently also ordered the clear ones as well. Changing out the lenses is pretty easy, but I did it before I got on my skis. I didn't try to do it on a ski lift as some have mentioned. I don't mess with my gear on chairs though as a general rule. My fist time out with these goggles was a very cold, snowy, dark day. It wasn't big fluffy flakes, not at first, but cold, wet sleet that hit like needles and was relentless. I was out for about 7 hours totally with a few breaks, but the goggles never fogged and the exterior stayed clear, even as wet snow-ice mix accumulated on the top of the plastic mesh vent. I could see very clearly using the amber lenses, and as day turned to night, they highlighted the ground well under the lights. I don't think that lens was the best for such dark conditions, but it still served its purpose well. I never struggled to see, and things were highlighted well. One thing about the amber lens is that it is mirrored as others have noted. It's not like flat low light lenses where your eyes can be seen through it. This does make it feel a little lower in VLT than the 55% listed here on amazon would imply. The low light yellow by comparison does not seem mirrored and is listed as 54%, so it should be dimmer than the amber, but I've seen Wildhorn recommend the yellow for low light/night skiing as the best option. I don't like seeing things in yellow though :) I personally prefer that if I have to have a tint, it be a sharp blue one. Failing that option, I ordered clear ones as well, but they arrived after my weekend was over. The next day was bitter cold, low teens, but clear and sunny. I put in the blue blaze lens. When you look through this lens indoors, it looks very dim and VERY copper/amber, which is not what the images imply above (the amazon image from the inside shows a blueish tint). I didn't like this at first, but out in the bright sunlight it's much less of an issue. What little tint remained wasn't annoying. It just gave the scene a faintly sepia tone, while still keeping things crystal clear and sharp. It won me over by the end of the day, because it didn't detract one bit from the beauty of the day or my skiing experience. Throughout both days, air flow was fantastic, keeping my eyes clear and well ventilated, but also protected from the worst of the cold. They fit comfortably. Not too snug, and the material that presses against your face is soft and comfortable, without any of that irritating sensation you sometimes get where you feel the need to adjust repeatedly. I did have some issues at first with how narrow the nose groove is. I have a deviated septum and at first I had to wear the goggles high to keep them from pinching my sinuses. However after a few hours they broke in and I could wear them comfortably without any discomfort or trouble breathing. Last thing to mention is customer service. Wildhorn is very responsive. The pair I ordered here on Amazon was shipped to me in a cardboard box too small for them. Someone in shipping crammed them in anyway and tried to tape it sealed. the result was that the goggles arrived with crushed padding along the outer edges. I wasn't sure if this was by design, but a quick chat with Wildhorn customer support and they sent me a replacement pair directly with their apologies. Great customer service! But in the future, Wildhorn may want to consider their own hard packaging, rather than just the plastic and cloth soft bags they currently come in. ... show more

  • Amazing!
Color: Arctic White / Ice Blue Size: Adult
These goggles are really cool! Beautiful design, interchangeable lenses for different light conditions or personal preference. It's easy and safe to attach and detach lenses. Better loking and quality and half the price or less than similar products from more recognized brands. And last but not least, I had a minor issue with the product (due to my fault) and the customer service was also great. ... show more

  • A great alternative to $200 goggles
Color: Stone Gray / Silver Size: Adult
I've been a fan of Smith goggles for some years, and wanted interchangeable lenses, but gave up on waiting or a deal on Smith IOs. These Wildhorn goggles caught my eye when I saw them on an internet deals site. I was skeptical and had them in my save for later list. A few days later I was notified they were in a Gold Box deal and I bought them for $30 (along with a youth pair for my 6 y/o son). I have 2 days out with the goggles so far, and have found them to be worth every penny of the $30 and I'd recommend them to someone in need of new goggles at $60. I purchased these with the silver lens and bought the low light yellow mirror lens when I was able to find them in stock (it took 2 weeks of checking every few days). The sunny day with the silver lens was great and the snowy day with the low light lens was great, I had a better visibility experience in both cases over my Smith Phenoms that did ok in sun and ok in clouds. The attached photo is with the low light mirror. Pros: - These goggles fit my Smith Holt helmet quite well, I don't have a freeze gap between the helmet and goggles. - Cheap lenses, get one for every condition. - Easy lens swap - Good ventilation, haven't fogged up on my yet Cons - My son scratched his lens already, he's 6 and not careful, lol. I don't think these lenses hold up like more expensive ones. I'm ok with that since they're about $24 and I'll happily replace them after a year or two, or three. - Ventilation can be a bit much at high speeds, lots of eye watering on a groomer ripping day! Also/fyi, I was on the hill with my brother-in-law recently and he had recently purchased some Gonex magnetic interchangeable lens goggles. He was excited to show me the lens swap, not knowing I had new goggles too. The lenses were interchangeable with mine, we swapped without issue. His are cheaper, but I think the Wildhorn straps and lenses look better. But, if you're shopping for a deal or just another set of lenses, look at these too: https://www.amazon.com/Gonex-Frameless-Snowboard-Interchangeable-Protection/dp/B07G8WRKMV ... show more

  • Goggles are Great, but the Mirror Lenses Scratch Pretty Easily
Color: Midnight Blue / Blaze Size: Adult
I love having goggles that allow me to change out the lens based on the conditions. They are very easy to change out. The goggles provide a good wide view, and are definitely great for the price. The only issue I had was with the mirror lens. It scratched very easily. I would definitely recommend getting a lens cover for anytime you are not wearing the goggles on your face. I don't know if the other lenses scratch this easily, but the mirror lenses are definitely not as scratch resistant as they make it seem in the description. ... show more

  • Very large on face
Color: Stealth / Ice Blue Size: Adult
Very large covers a lot of my face, I ended up getting smaller pair to fit my helmet

  • Awesome goggles and awesome customer service!
Color: Citrus / Emerald Size: Adult
Bought these goggles with a second set of lenses half way through the 2022 ski season. They have been everything I've been looking for in a multi lense goggle set. The only issue I had with them occurred on an extremely cold day in Breckenridge, CO. I was changing lenses on the mountain and the clip holding them in broke. They still function fine when this happens because of the magnets. Contacted their customer service team and spoke with Maddie, after confirming my order number, a new pair of replacement clips were on their way. Installation was easy (they just snap into place). I'm definitely recommending these and anything else Wildhorn to all my friends. ... show more
