  • Not what I was looking for but high quality nonetheless.
I was looking to buy something like V-MODA's XL replacement ear pads. When I saw these, I decided to buy them because I often find non-OEM equipment to be of superior quality. I should have paid more attention though, because these are not XL ear pads. They are the same size as the pads that come on the V-MODA headphones. I did find these ear pads to be of higher quality than the original ones. I wish Wicked Cushions would have chosen to use a different descriptor instead of using XL. Since V-MODA makes an ear pad with XL in the name, I assumed that the Wicked Cushions pads would be the same size. That's on me. So, while these were not what I was looking for, they are superior to the ones that V-MODA ships with their headphones. And the company was very easy to work with when I returned these. I would not hesitate to purchase ear pads from Wicked Cushions in the future. ... show more

  • improved measurements, fantastic customer service
When I originally ordered these cushions on 9/7/20, the cushions that came were difficult to install because they were just slightly too large. I spent a good half hour trying to jam them in without damaging my headphones. I managed to get one in eventually, but the other would not go in without the inner edges becoming warped and ripped. The cushions stayed in place, yes, but there was plainly something off about them. I contacted Wicked Cushion's customer service and explained my issue, and the representative who helped me (Megan) was quick to reply, courteous, and very upfront about a manufacturing issue they had recently become aware of. She offered to replace my cushions for free once their manufacturing kinks were worked out, and kept a steady stream of contact with me until the new cushions arrived today (10/21/20). I was very pleased with her attentiveness and would have no qualms about trying other Wicked Cushion products or contacting their customer service again. How do the new cushions compare to the old ones? They're a complete breeze to install. Major improvement over the defective pair I originally got. It took less than a minute to slip both of them on. As other reviewers have mentioned, they're very comfortable and thick enough to let my Crossfade M-100s sit on my head for long periods of time without hurting my ears like the original factory cushions do. Between the customer service and the cushions themselves, I'm completely satisfied with these Wicked Cushion replacements. A note: The instructions that come with the cushions tell you to look for a seam in the faux leather that will indicate the bottom side. This seam does NOT actually exist. What you actually want to look at is the "backside" of the cushion, where the harder plastic material makes contact with the headphone. One side of the hexagon has a flat edge rather than a point, and that edge indicates your bottom. ... show more

  • comfy, but they are very fragile
Bought these for my Crossfade wireless (first gen) that i bought a few weeks ago. I was going to return the headphones since i found them uncomfortable, but figured i would try these based on youtube videos and customer reviews and I like that i got the cans for under $90. First off they feel very nice and make these brand new headphones i bought comfortable, which is silly I have to shell out extra to make new headphones usable! Anyways.. I'm on my second pair of these, ripped 1 from each set trying to install, perhaps it is an issue with the cans and QC control or QC control with the pads. I was able to remove the originals, reinstall them and remove them again without them ripping. The Wicked didn't seem to fit right on the right earcup, and split at the seem as i was trying to install. I was finally able to get the right earcup to install after 3 tries. I also got an email from Wicked about my purchase and they said to respond if i have any issues. i responded that they broke, and they offered to send me a replacement. Now that they are installed, i find they are comfortable, and I like my Crossfades much better than before. I find they have changed the sound slightly, less base, but music seems "cleaner" than before. I like the sound better with them I would only recommend these if you are going to VERY careful installing them and with your headphones. Im a bit worried that they wont last as long as the the Vmoda XLs, i think i would try those the next time if these don't last. Hopefully they stand by their product and these last, as i am generally very careful with my possessions and hate when stuff that i take care of breaks.. ... show more

  • Noise Cancellation is Notable different
These ear muffs after wearing V-modas headphones for so long with the stock one they come with, and the XL pads, i decided to give these a try. These are very comfortable and lots of space within your ears. However i think because of the foam type it does cost a loss in bass, it is very noticeable to me because i've worn the other ones for a very long time already. My issue is that eventually my pads always get worn with dead cells and etc and i wash them until they break eventually. These seem durable enough to last at least a multiple washes. The only draw back is that it does have a loss in bass as stated, and it the noise cancellation is almost non-existent. If people get this reference, if you had the XL by V-Moda it is like if one of the clips isn't connected and there is a brief airhole for sound to go out and causing a little bit of outside noise to come in except all the time. I'm currently using a new type from V-Moda i don't know if it is on sale yet but it came with the V-Moda Masters, and i can assure you there is a significant difference when using this versus the orginal. All in all TL;DR - They are comfortable, they lose bass, they lose noise cancellation, large space for ears. Giving it a 4 for the loss of bass. ... show more
